Vasile Diacon (born 2000) is a Moldovan freestyle wrestler who competes in the 70–74 kg division. He is a bronze medalist at the 2023 European Wrestling Championships.

Career

Diacon won the bronze medal in the 70 kg event at the 2023 European Wrestling Championships held in Zagreb, Croatia.[1]

He also won the bronze medal in the 74 kg event at the 2022 U23 World Wrestling Championships in Pontevedra, Spain. In U23 European competition, he secured a silver medal in 2023 (Bucharest) and a bronze in 2022 (Plovdiv).[2]

As a junior, Diacon won the gold medal at the 2019 World Junior Wrestling Championships and a bronze in 2018. He was also the European junior champion in 2019 and cadet European silver medalist in 2017.[3]
