Sorry, @Topasappa. I put the template to {{helpme-working}} on your talk page because I thought I could help you, but there seems to be a problem with the genus and species itself. I tried using the formats of a few other speciesboxes, and everything worked fine until I put in the genus and species.

This is purely a guess, but I'm wondering if the problem might be that the genus Scytinotus doesn't yet exist on Wikipedia, so the {{speciesbox}} template can't look it up? -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 06:22, 7 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I think that was it. When I tried to create the speciesbox, it said the genus template was missing, and instructed me to create it, which I did (based on the taxonomy on this page, which I assume is correct); it's at {{Taxonomy/Scytinotus}}.
