[edit] Hello, I'm DaniloDaysOfOurLives. I noticed that you recently made an edit to Ciaran McCarthy in which your edit summary did not appear to describe the change you made. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 03:09, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
Edit summaries
[edit]Hello. You’ve left me a message giving me a warning for a ban because I didn’t leave an edit summary for fixing edit mistakes and adding a past character to a list of past Coronation Street characters. This wasn’t necessarily needed as I’d put a note on the list of current characters, which is visible there. I leave edit summaries on most edits but occasionally it is always clear what my intentions are so I haven’t left one. I can’t be blocked from editing for missing one on clear edits like that, especially when it is not common I do that, plus it was correctly referenced so it’s clear that I’m making a constructive edit. Even you yourself edited the Jade Masood redirect with no summary so your message makes no sense. Thank you. EEfamilytrees (talk) 00:27, 7 June 2025 (UTC)

[edit] Please do not use misleading edit summaries when making changes to Wikipedia pages. This behavior is viewed as disruptive, and continuation may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 04:04, 7 June 2025 (UTC)
STOP stripping whitespace
[edit]You need to stop stripping whitespace. This is not constructive.
Edit summaries are also supposed to explain why you are making changes, not just a blank statement that you are "Removing whitespace". See Help:Edit summary
Wikipedia markup is intentionally human readable, making wiki markup less readable by removing all the whitespace is not helpful. (If Wikipedia did not care about human readable markup we would have all ended up editing in HTML tags instead.) Arbitrarily changing the WP:STYLE of an article is disruptive.
Wikipedia uses compression, stripping whitespace helps no one. See also Wikipedia:Don't worry about performance. -- 109.79.165.247 (talk) 20:46, 12 June 2025 (UTC)
- Specifically MOS:VAR
"Edit warring over style, or enforcing optional style in a bot-like fashion without prior consensus, is never acceptable."

You should stop trying to "fix" things you do not understand. (diff) strict formatting of the WP:LINEBREAK tag <br /> is perfectly acceptable WP:NOTBROKEN (preferable even) -- 109.76.132.175 (talk) 11:01, 14 June 2025 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:EastEnders 40th Anniversary 2025 Promo.jpg
[edit]
Thanks for uploading File:EastEnders 40th Anniversary 2025 Promo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of non-free use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:16, 14 June 2025 (UTC)
