April 2024

[edit]

Hi Sarah, I get why you want to add links to the article you created, but there are Policies and Guidelines on what links are allowed and what not. This and this should not be done per MOS:LINKCLARITY. Please take a look at Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking for some help. Nobody (talk) 14:34, 24 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits popped up in my watchlist again and I reverted them again for violating [[MOS:LINKCLARITY]]. Please stop adding links to your articles this way. Nobody (talk) 05:31, 2 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Wooden house moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Wooden house. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and they do things differently in France! Thanks for the translation, but it is so poorly referenced that it needs more work before returning to the article space. This has been marked by other editors in the text. It should also be integrated more carefully with the other existing wooden-house types listed at List of house types, particularly Plank house, Log house, Log cabin and Upper Lusatian house. . I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Klbrain (talk) 16:33, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Coubertin Foundation

[edit]

Hello, Sarah Halim,

Thank you for creating Coubertin Foundation.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Thanks for creating the page. There are some sections that are entirely unsourced, it would be great if you could provide sources for verification.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Broc}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

I have sent you a note about a page you started

[edit]

Hi Sarah Halim. Thank you for your work on Animal production and consumption in Switzerland. Another editor, Broc, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Thanks for translating the page. Please make sure to add wikilinks and references to the "Meat products" section, which is completely unreferenced at the moment.

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Broc}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

May 2024

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistently making disruptive edits.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Seraphimblade Talk to me 21:28, 4 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Specifically, in addition to creating several inappropriate articles, you were instructed above to stop changing wikilinks to misleading and inappropriate targets on 24 April ([1]), yet have continued that practice as recently as today ([2]). If an unblock is to be considered, you will need to agree to stop doing that. Seraphimblade Talk to me 21:30, 4 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Honestly, I had translated and published around 8 articles, i translated the French articles to English ones maintaining the same images, hyperlinks, references...etc. I work in an honest manner, dealing as a simple translator not an editor. When I received notifications on my Wikipedia's account, I did not know that these were such alerts from specialist editors, I thought that these were general comments from readers so unfortunately, I did not pay attention to them. As my account has been blocked, I could not apply your suggestions to maintain the good quality of my translated articles and to respect Wikipedia's guidelines. I promise you that after knowing that these notifications are from specialist editors, I will modify my articles as long as I receive your suggestions if you allow me again to access to my account again. Sarah Halim (talk) 17:13, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Given that this unblock request is almost a year old (and just reformatted so it would appear), I'm declining until a fresh request is made, as there's no evidence the account owner is present. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 16:53, 23 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Clarification: note that Sarah Halim placed her request in May 2024, but it was malformatted, and contained no unblock request template and therefore was not acted upon at the time. This changed today, when User:Barr Theo, reacting to a 2024 message of mine pointing out the formatting problem to Sarah, changed Sarah's comment, adding an {{unblock request}} to it (diff), leading to the decline just now. Two things:
  • jpgordon, I doubt this really changes anything wrt your decline, but you ought to be made aware of this, just in case.
  • Barr Theo, thanks for your good faith in wanting to resolve this. That said, please do not ever change the content of some other user's comment, not even to fix a typo (see WP:TPO), and especially not when something serious could happen as a result of it, like an admin action. The right thing to do here, would have been either to leave it alone, since I had already notified Sarah about the problem (next section below this), or if you thought she hadn't seen my message and it was important enough to require escalation, then use the {{admin help}} template on this page to attract the attention of an admin to look at the situation. Thanks again for your proactivity in wishing to resolve a perceived problem, but next time, feel free to point out problems in another user's comments, but do not change them.
Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 20:42, 23 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock request

[edit]
{{disruptive edits=Your reason here Sarah Halim (talk) 19:43, 14 May 2024 (UTC)}}[reply]
Sarah, just a friendly tip: your comment above is not an unblock request, and nobody who is capable of unblocking you will see it here. Please follow the instructions given in the section above on how to appeal your block. Also, and hopefully this is obvious, but when you see "Your reason here" in a copy-paste template model, that does not mean paste those words into your unblock request. It means, after reading the instructions on how to make an unblock appeal, you replace those words with your reasoning for why you believe you should be unblocked. Hopefully this is clearer now. Mathglot (talk) 09:03, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Mathglot: Nice catch. I have fixed that. Barr Theo (talk) 16:31, 23 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Wooden house

[edit]

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion.
