Battle Of Zeila (1841) moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Battle Of Zeila (1841). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and it has too many problems of language or grammar. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Ratnahastin (talk) 07:50, 16 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Original research regarding the 'Berbera uprising'

[edit]

Could you tell me what exact page mentions the killing of the governor? I have recommended the deletion of the article and will be adding it in the Egyptian Invasion of Harar page. Replayerr (talk) 12:49, 10 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Isaaq migrations, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A bare URL error. References show this error when one of the URL-containing parameters cannot be paired with an associated title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 22:19, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Deria Hassan, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sultan Hassan. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Thanks for your contributions to Somaliland Civil War (1993-1997). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability, it has too many problems of language or grammar and it needs more inline citations. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

The reason for the lack of sources is because; Somaliland expelled out all UN news reporters. I can't make a comment on the grammar since I didn't make the page, although I will try to improve it. Husseinguled (talk) 15:07, 26 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

dervish

[edit]

dervish salam alaikum brother it was the isaaq nur who started dervish movement becouse of somali kids converting to christianity stop removing it also haji sudi was the one ho created the dervish after visiting the mahdi in sudan stop deleting our history this is isaaq resistence to the britishSha19999 (talk) 16:17, 17 May 2025 (UTC) [reply]

Please restore this information or at least explain am a fan of your work keep up the good work Sha19999 (talk) 16:27, 17 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
asalam alaykum brother, i see what you are saying but let me explain.
you see most isaaqs were against the dervishes, and haji sudi did find it true but the Isaaq sultanate itself and most Habar yoonis were against the dervishes due to their raids on the isaaqs.
Isaaqs weren’t as involved in this movement and actually fought against it *see the wiki page of Haji Mohamed Bulaleh*, the movement was founded and led by isaaqs but most isaaqs later defected.
I apologize for the misunderstanding but i am not denying isaaq involvement, but i am saying that the dervishes especially later on started being aggressive towards the isaaqs *they attacked Berbera and Burao* Samyatilius (talk) 12:27, 18 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Wa alaikum salam brother
you do realize the dervish revolt went on for 23 years or somethings and the isaaqs were the ones who started it as a religous resistence to forced conversions by colonisers
haji warabe come about like 19 years later by then the isaaqs left the movement at the end of the first world war becouse the ottomans were ousted and the lost legitymacy among scholars of the time
the dervishes that went to burce and berbera were themselves isaaq they also destroyed las khorey with ibrahim bobil leading it.
bro respect the first isaaq darawiish at least walało
much love keep spreding our history i do all somali history not just somaliland even though its my country i still love my muslim neighbours
have a look at what i did with Ajuran walal
also i am hy Sha19999 (talk) 13:28, 18 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
you have a point but ishaaqs still largely opposed the movement, it was mostly a few nomads and sultan nur himself even stopped taking part in the movement after he and the sayyid had a fight over the raiding of innocent tribes.
plus my page is mostly about the ishaq british wars and since the dervishes were multi clan *sayyid being ogaden, haji sudi being isaaq, ismail mire being dhulbahante* it won't really fit in well.
again it doesn't really matter but i still want to keep solely wars between the brits and ishaqis Samyatilius (talk) 12:15, 19 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Then i say brother go ahead keep it like that its better we work together am conceding for the best. But maybe you could include some of the early victories against the british done by haji sudi and sultan nuh so you can include it if you want the early engagmentsmants even some of ibrahim boghul battles in which he won a battle against the British but it’s up to you but you can drop the rest ofbthe dervish and include just isaaq ones but i will leave it to you
salam alaikum Ina adheer much love Sha19999 (talk) 12:27, 19 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
that would be much appreciated thank you Samyatilius (talk) 16:47, 19 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
as salam alaikum walal why did you undo the edit it's still says allied victory but you can add consolidation of British ssomaliland along with colonial independence from Britain for 21 years Sha19999 (talk) 17:23, 24 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
