Disambiguation link notification for July 5
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of governors of Uttar Pradesh, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page United Provinces. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 15:35, 8 October 2024 (UTC)- Hi! Thanks for the article. I am still confused about the geographic location of the events: the article mentions the rebellion taking place in Rangpur, Bangladesh, but at the same time talks about "British rule in Assam" and Rangpur, Assam was the capital of the Ahom kingdom, and appears to be much closer to the Naga hills. Would it be possible to clarify this point? Thanks a lot! Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 15:48, 8 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hi.
- You're correct. It was in Rangpur, Assam. When I was linking the article, the Rangpur of Assam was not coming in the link, so I thought Rangpur is only in Bangladesh. I have corrected it. Pur 0 0 (talk) 11:04, 10 October 2024 (UTC)
ISO
[edit]Where does WP policy state that the very confusing ISO transliteration that you have added en masse to many articles is required? If you want to make these changes, start an RfC at WT:INDIA and attempt to achieve a consensus, but before doing so, please undo your edits. Fowler&fowler«Talk» 15:35, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
- By the policy that textboxes have a field to be filled, and for because of that one rule I myself hate we have to use ISO 15919 instead of indic scripts. Below it says to use IPA. If you find ISO very confusing, I don't think you'll be able to handle IPA. Pur 0 0 (talk) 03:17, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
Flags in Infoboxes
[edit]Please read MOS:INFOBOXFLAG and undo your edits. If you keep doing this, you are looking at penalties. Best regards Fowler&fowler«Talk» 15:59, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
- Those are banners, not flags. It's the same as using emblems, except with more uniformity in size and shape. Pur 0 0 (talk) 18:49, 30 January 2025 (UTC)

Bhumihar wikipedia [Etymology section for Babhan] complete the phrase......
[edit]Reference citation which you just cited under bhumihar wikipedia reference was not Good as they say they Generally don't consider such news articles. Point is I am referring to inclusion of Already cited kumar Aswani cited Academic Source which is explaining the meaning of Babhan term [pg:126 From 6th Line To 16th Line] Same Acadmic citation covering almost part what we thought about it. [Put it in under the Etymology section with Already cited Academic Source by replacing this cheaper dubious line Babhan is an apbharansa for .....). Done! 👍 103.88.57.34 (talk) 18:08, 16 June 2025 (UTC)
Personal attacks
[edit]Hello, I had auto watched your talkpage when I nominated your page for deletion and I noticed that you made a personal attack against me when you removed the deletion notification. You are required to assume good faith or it will be taken as disruption of Wikipedia and reported. For the record, you were the sole person in that discussion out of 4 independent editors who believed the page should remain. Removing any non-vandalism message from talk pages is also frowned upon, you can set up WP:ARCHIVING if you wish to hide old messages. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 10:51, 25 June 2025 (UTC)

[edit]
Hello Pur 0 0. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Pur 0 0. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Pur 0 0|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Bilby (talk) 10:53, 1 August 2025 (UTC)
- I am not being directly or indirectly compensated for my edits. My edits are purely based on my own interests, which I make on
- 1. Topics I find interest in
- 2. Topics that have received significant coverage but do not have an article (whether it meets GNG is decided by the moderators/administrators, as they have a better understanding on the topic)
- 3. Topics which can be expanded with a deeper excavation for citations
- The articles I create are not promotional, considering my recent article, Royal Honey VIP is based on criticising the product. Zero Poverty Uttar Pradesh Campaign also contains a section about the limitations of the campaign.
- Overall, whatever topic I write about, I write both in favour of and against depending on the sources. The fact that the recent edits have sounded promotional is purely coincidence, as there have been many instances in my 1,200+ edits when I've followed on a pattern.
- In case any of my edits seem promotional, feel free to revert them. I will not object. Thanks and cheers. Pur 0 0 (talk) 11:16, 1 August 2025 (UTC)
