Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Pineapple Acid, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, which will be reviewed by other editors. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, visit the Teahouse, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! --Ahecht (TALK

@ahecht {{unblock}} I have been able to change my username which was against policy from "Warthogmarketing" to PineappleAcid

About your chosen username

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Warthogmarketing", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, service, or website. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you.   –Skywatcher68 (talk) 23:56, 31 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I sincerely apologise if the username breaches the policy of Wikipedia.
I am willing to change to Warthogspeed. 102.89.47.209 (talk) 14:54, 8 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Transfer rumours

[edit]

Hi. Thanks for your recent edits, but please don't add details of player transfers to articles until they're officially confirmed. Even if clubs have agreed a deal, these can fall through, and so we need to wait until either the club or a reliable sources announces the transfer has gone through, not just been agreed. Thanks and best regards — ser! (chat to me - see my edits) 10:14, 6 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Once again, please stop adding the details of player transfers until they are confirmed - that means until the club has actually confirmed a deal. Even if they report a deal is agreed, it can still fall through, and so we need to wait until it's official. Thanks, ser! (chat to me - see my edits) 07:57, 11 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Animal. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Remsense 🌈  15:29, 6 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Warthogmarketing I'm afraid your level of proficiency with English may not be adequate for you to be copyediting an English-language encyclopedia. Please refrain from doing so if you're not comfortable with the norms of formal written English. Remsense 🌈  15:30, 6 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Duly noted. Buti will do better and I am comfortable with my English language skills.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Your account has been blocked from editing because your username gives the impression that the account represents a group, team, club, organization, company, product, department, or website. Your username is the principal reason for the block. You are welcome to continue editing after you have chosen a new username that complies with Wikipedia's username policy.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable, regardless of the username that you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid or compensated in any way, you must disclose who is paying you to edit here. You may also read our FAQ for article subjects.

Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change to this account.
  • To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
  • If you prefer to change the username of this account, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your user talk page (this page): {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Important items to note:

  • The new username that you choose must represent you as an individual person, and it must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.
    • You are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it also identifies you individually. Examples include: "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".
  • The new username you choose cannot already be taken and used by another account. You can search here to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns, "There is no global account for [username]", that means it is available.

Appeals: If your username does not represent a group, organization, department, website, or other entity described above, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your user talk page (this page): {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

Thank you. --Ahecht (TALK

Information icon Hello, I'm TonySt. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Viktor Gyökeres, but you didn't provide a reliable source. On Wikipedia, it's important that article content be verifiable. If you'd like to resubmit your change with a citation, your edit is archived in the page history. Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in English Army, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. The names of commonly recognised countries like England and France don't need to be hyperlinked, per MOS:OVERLINK. Belbury (talk) 08:50, 9 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The observation is duly noted and will be adopted to the advice.
