Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Thanks for your additions to Chinese typewriter, but can you clarify the source of the images and their licensing? Content on Facebook cannot be used on Wikipedia without explicit licensing from the copyright owner. Jpatokal (talk) 08:29, 13 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
I had permission from the original poster on Facebook to upload these photos to wikipedia.
Thanks PebbleC (talk) 22:41, 13 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
That's great, but you will need to be get them to provide a written release to Wikimedia. The easiest way is to get them to fill out a form with this tool: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wikimedia_VRT_release_generator Jpatokal (talk) 23:00, 13 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Minor edits

[edit]

No big deal but, for Wikipedia editing, "minor" means a change that has no effect on meaning, just a correction to spelling or punctuation. Size doesn't matter. See WP:MINOREDIT for the long version. (btw, I'm not SHOUTING . Wikipedia uses all-caps for shortcuts to avoid accidentally using a real article name.) No harm done, just one to note for future reference. A good rule is if in any doubt, don't mark it as minor.--𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 11:59, 12 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You may notice that I undid your addition of info about how the Hermes 2000 got extra mileage out of a printer ribbon. IMO, that is just too much of a special case to merit inclusion. This sort of reversions and changes to other contributors' work is typical and what makes Wikipedia so effective. For the long explanation, see WP:Bold, revert, discuss and WP:OWN. In time, you'll be correcting my work too! --𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 11:59, 12 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, ok, sorry for the change PebbleC (talk) 23:09, 12 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
Thanks for reviewing the draft article, I have added more secondary sources and edits to the article. There is a Wikipedia article of Djungelskog in Chinese (https://zh.wikipedia.org/zh-cn/Djungelskog%E6%A3%95%E7%86%8A), so I thought it would be suitable and notable enough to make an english wikipedia article about it.
Thanks :) PebbleC (talk) 06:03, 14 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
