Thanks for your efforts in the question & discussion phase of AELECT2025

[edit]

I'm certain many others feel the same way. I appreciate your putting yourself forward, answering questions (including mine) with candor, and demonstrating BOLD while still maintaining AGF. Thank you, and good luck to you in the next phase. We've certainly learned more about all the candidates during the last few days. BusterD (talk) 22:51, 22 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@BusterD: Thanks for your questions! Admittedly, the recall process is something I wish I knew more about, so perhaps anticipate me asking you sometimes soon. Best, ~ Pbritti (talk) 23:29, 22 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Let's hope it's something you'll need to worry about. Chin up! You've had a good week! BusterD (talk) 23:36, 22 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I hadn't thought of it until this moment, but if a candidate wanted to make a final comment on the discussion section before 00:00, they could choose to have the last say in that section, which might or might not impress, but would be read by every vote coming along. Just saying, this is only the second time we've done this. It's bound to eventually look quite different than what we originally envisioned. BusterD (talk) 23:46, 22 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Administrator Elections | Voting phase

[edit]
Administrator Elections | Voting phase

The voting phase of the July 2025 administrator elections has started and continues until July 29 at 23:59 UTC. You can participate in the voting phase at Wikipedia:Administrator elections/July 2025/Voting phase.

As a reminder, the schedule of the election is:

  • July 23–29 – Voting phase
  • July 30–c. Aug 3 – Scrutineering phase

In the voting phase, the candidate subpages will close to public questions and discussion, and everyone who qualifies to vote will have a week to use the SecurePoll software to vote, which uses a secret ballot. You can see who voted, but not who they voted for. Please note that the vote totals cannot be made public until after voting has ended and as such, it will not be possible for you to see an individual candidate's vote total during the election. The suffrage requirements are similar to those at RFA.

Once voting concludes, we will begin the scrutineering phase, which will last for approximately four days, perhaps longer. Once everything is certified, the results will be posted on the results page (this is a good page to watchlist), and transcluded to the main election page. In order to be granted adminship, a candidate must have received at least 70.0% support, calculated as Support / (Support + Oppose), and a minimum of 20 support votes. Because this is a vote and not a consensus, there are no bureaucrat discussions ("crat chats").

Any questions or issues can be asked on the election talk page. Thank you for your participation. Happy electing.

A Barnstar for you!

@Ad Orientem: It's really I who should be thanking you, especially for taking action in reporting the more egregious stuff. I have the misfortunate of being able to view the beginning of those messages—geez, what a drag. Anyhow, I greatly appreciate your effort all over the project. Feel welcome to ask me to help wherever I can. Best, ~ Pbritti (talk) 12:22, 24 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Abbreviations for organizations

[edit]

Hello. I had added those abbreviations for several Catholic Trad. organizations that I saw listed in the respective articles for those organizations (and that I had also seen used on the internet)--it seemed that they should be there. I noticed that you removed them. Is there a reason they shouldn't be there? GloryRoad66 (talk) 00:21, 28 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, as they aren't relevant to the article. Unless they receive further mention in the article, these unsourced abbreviations don't serve a purpose. If you have further questions about this, please utilize the article's talk page. Best, ~ Pbritti (talk)
Point well made. I'll see if we can find good sources. Thanks. GloryRoad66 (talk) 00:31, 28 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Administrator

[edit]

Hey Pbritti,

Just wanted to wish you much luck on your bid for Administrator. I saw your name on the July candidate list, and have cast a vote for you. Perhaps others watching your talk page will also weigh in. Good luck! Firsfron of Ronchester 05:51, 28 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Firsfron: Thank you for your kind support! I also have good news: I will be going through Baynesville on either Friday or Sunday. I have set up an opportunity to shoot another target I've been meaning to get for a while I'm on this mini-vacation. Hopefully I can also celebrate a new role on-project, too! Best, ~ Pbritti (talk) 14:33, 28 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Fabulous news! I hope you can find some good buildings to photograph! And how cool that you'll get to photograph the medal, as well. Firsfron of Ronchester 16:13, 28 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
