I warned you to stop doing that. What exactly is your relationship to Jose Palma? My concern is that you are here to promote Palma. I see for example you are using inappropriate sources (sources that don't meet WP:RS). Please clarify. --Yamla (talk) 11:53, 4 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Yamla, I met Jose at an event for the movie 'Lair' in the London Premiere. He was introduced by the director of the film, and whilst Latin actors are not well documented in the industry, I thought to do my part to make sure he has an article about his career. Please note that the lack of representation of Latin Actors in the industry has to change, to be more inclusive of their successes. Whilst the sources are few (due to the lack of media), the links mention his contributions in the industry, and they are worthy of being mentioned, just like any other actor worldwide. When you mention "stop doing that", for a first timer in the community, you get overwhelmed for a mistake that perhaps you didn't fully understand. Is the link that you find inappropriate IMDB? I thought it was a world-recognised database for film? Perhaps you can guide me a bit more? I will appreciate it PaulC2025 (talk) 12:55, 4 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

To be clear, this is the full extent of your relationship with this actor? A single, one-off, coincidental meeting? I'm not trying to be difficult here. We often have people try to hedge. More than once, they've tried to hide that they are married to the person they are writing about, and it's often the case that people have relationships such as the subject being a client, or working for a production company. So, please be very specific. And yes, imdb is not a reliable source. WP:RS goes into more detail, let me know if you have any questions after reading that. I didn't examine your other sources. That's correct, I have met him personally once, one-off, coincidentally, don't have further contact with him. I can confirm I am not married to him, my wife in the other hand, I'm sure wouldn't mind if she were (joking). Once again, he made a great positive impression in that meeting, I would like to play my part on making sure Latin Actors like him are documented properly. I understand where you are coming from and you have to make sure it's reliable. I will delete the IMDB link from the article and will fully read the article you shared and revise the article. Hi there! As you create articles, you may also want to be aware of our notability guidelines, which is what we use to determine whether a subject should have its own Wikipedia page. For any article, we look for reliable, independent sources with significant coverage of the subject. Additionally, when writing articles, you have to make sure to write in a neutral point of view, which can be challenging to learn.
