Hello Pascal Dugat. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Draft:Tax Free World Association, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Pascal Dugat. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Pascal Dugat|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. DoubleGrazing (talk) 20:04, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
Hello, Pascal Dugat, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as Cécile Lamotte (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 20:04, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
- Hello, the account with Cecile Lamotte is now bloacked. I only use Pascal Dugat.
- Regards, Pascal Dugat (talk) 12:26, 30 April 2025 (UTC)
- Yes, I know it's blocked, since I'm the one who blocked it.
- Are you saying that was also your account? -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 12:44, 30 April 2025 (UTC)
- Hello I juste have one account. In this account (as you told me) i explain https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Pascal_Dugat why i wrote the page of TFWA.
- However the page it still not published. Pascal Dugat (talk) 12:19, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
- Okay, let me break this down for you:
- The Cécile Lamotte account is blocked, because they were clearly here only to promote TFWA, and as I presumed they were associated with (employed by, or otherwise) the organisation without disclosing their relationship despite this being requested multiple times, I eventually blocked them as an undisclosed paid editor.
- You then registered your user account and carried on editing Draft:Tax Free World Association, so it was only natural that I assumed you were also somehow connected with this organisation. When I queried this, you didn't initially respond, although I now see that you have recently placed a disclosure on your talk page; thank you for doing that. Technically this still makes you a 'meatpuppet', since you're effectively evading the block placed on the Lamotte account, but let's put that aside for the time being.
- Please read carefully WP:PAID which explains what is needed for you to comply with our rules regarding paid editing. (You should probably also read WP:BOSS, and show it to your client as well.) Among other things, if the TFWA draft is accepted, you will not 'own' it in any way; it is not 'your' article, but a Wikipedia article on your client organisation. You also will not be able to edit it directly, once it has been published, but must instead make edit requests via its talk page (or using the wizard found at WP:ERW). Meanwhile, anyone else can, and almost certainly will, edit the article, and possibly in ways that you'd rather they didn't.
- As for whether the draft can be accepted, I couldn't say because I haven't reviewed it lately, but the last time I did, I remember it failed to demonstrate that the subject is notable in Wikipedia terms. Notability is a core requirement for inclusion in the encyclopaedia, so until you get over that hurdle, this draft won't be accepted. The relevant notability guideline for organisations is WP:ORG, please study it to understand what we mean by notability, and what evidence we require to establish it. You may also wish to take a look at WP:GOLDENRULE, which succinctly describes the process by which Wikipedia articles are created.
