[edit]
Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because it has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or website, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:

  1. Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  2. Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  3. Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  4. Provide a new username.

To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun reviewed|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Cabayi (talk) 10:10, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Requested username:

Request reason:

I would like to respectfully request an unblock and change my username from "MalvernCollegeTokyo" to "PandaEditor2025".

I now understand that using a username that appears to represent an organization, such as a school name, is not allowed under Wikipedia’s username policy. I apologize for this oversight.

I am not being paid or compensated for any of my contributions. My intent was to contribute factual, neutral content about international education. I now recognize that my previous edits may have come across as promotional, and I understand the importance of maintaining a neutral point of view and using reliable third-party sources.

If unblocked, I intend to contribute neutrally to Wikipedia, particularly on topics related to international education, by following all content and behavioral guidelines.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Decline reason:

We want to hear from you directly, not an AI. An AI cannot tell us what it is in your mind. Please write in your own words without the aid of an AI. 331dot (talk) 08:51, 15 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your feedback and I post the reply one more time to wait for the answer of the next step.
The explanations in my appeal are all my own. I only used AI to help me write to you because English is not my first language.
I want to be clear that the reason I ask for unblocking my account is because I have opinions about international school’s education, and I want to put these on pages like this one.
I work for Malvern College, and part of my job is to help them improve the content for the Malvern College Tokyo Wikipedia page. This is a paid position.
To comply with your conflict-of-interest policy, I want to confirm that:
I will only suggest changes via the Talk page. I will never edit the main article directly.
I will always disclose my affiliation with Malvern College, and
Any changes I suggest will only be to make the content accurate, independent and with correct referencing. I will never post advertising or promotional materials of any sort.
I have read your Wiki rules again and understand how I must write all my posts from now on.
However, If I were to make any errors, I would appreciate your advice on how to correct them, so I can be sure that I always fully comply with your policies.
To be completely transparent and to work to your guidelines, I would like to change my username to PandaEditor 2025.
Based on the above, I ask you to remove the block on my account and give me the chance to post to Wikipedia in a positive and neutral way
Thank you for your consideration and sorry to have troubled you. MalvernCollegeTokyo (talk) 01:04, 5 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

MalvernCollegeTokyo (talk) 01:04, 5 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Are you employed by Malvern College - yes or no?

If "no", do you have any affiliation with the college that we should know about?

If "yes", then you are considered to be a paid editor. It does not matter whether or not you receive specific payment to edit Wikipedia - your employment itself is enough to trigger this policy.

Also, your appeal appears to have been written by an AI tool (91.47% probability according to ZeroGPT). Since you personally are blocked, your appeal must be written in your own words, without the assistance of AI. Administrators will not consider appeals written by AI. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 04:08, 15 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! Given that you are a paid employee, you will need to make a payment disclosure on your userpage. Will you review Wikipedia payment disclosure policy, then add the appropriate payment disclosure in reply to this message? An editor will then copy it to your userpage. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 03:19, 7 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Taking another look at your edits, it looks like you were trying to create an article because your college does not yet have one. As such, you would not be able to request edits to the page. Are there other topics you'd be interested in editing? Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 03:21, 7 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your feedback.
I’d like to create an article about Malvern College Tokyo and therefore, I am very grateful for your clarification on the editing restrictions due to my employment with the college. I fully understand the conflict of interest and I confirm that I will not edit anything directly.
My goal is to ensure that any information I provide is accurate and neutral. To do this properly, I would like to propose that I:
a. Create a draft: Either in my user sandbox or via Articles for Creation, so that independent editors can review it before publication to ensure it meets Wikipedia’s standards.
b. Check notability: Does Malvern College Tokyo meet Wikipedia’s standards for educational institutions? (I’m happy to supply more sources if you feel they are required)
Before I begin, I would be grateful if you could please confirm if this is the right approach. PandaEditor 2025 (talk) 02:11, 11 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I work for Malvern College and one of my jobs is to help with the information about Malvern College Tokyo shown on Wikipedia. In order to satisfy Wikipedia's rules, I want to be completely open about my connection and acknowledge the potential conflict of interest.
I know that it is vital to be neutral and to use only trustworthy sources when providing an article. To avoid any conflict of interest issues, I confirm that I will not edit any actual article myself. Instead, I will submit drafts via my user sandbox or use the proper Articles for Creation process so that other independent Wikipedia editors can review everything properly to ensure it meets Wikipedia’s standards.
To be clear - I don't work for any marketing company or paid editing service. I am just an employee of the college who is trying to ensure the correct facts are published. I confirm again, that I will always follow Wikipedia's guidelines and I am happy to take on board any feedback or corrections that come from the community PandaEditor 2025 (talk) 02:10, 11 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
