Information icon Thank you for your contributions. One of your recent contributions to Canada's Wonderland has been reverted or removed, because it contains speculative or unconfirmed information about a future event. Please only add material about future events if it is verifiable, based on a reliable source. Johnny Au (talk/contributions) 01:53, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You are jumping the gun. We can't write as if it has already happened. Same thing you did here, which has been reverted. We are waiting until the park opens. Thank you. --GoneIn60 (talk) 04:57, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Cedar Point, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Wait until the park has opened and the rides are confirmed to be operating. New coasters often get delayed. Stop jumping the gun, there's no prize for being the first to edit. JlACEer (talk) 15:38, 13 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Removing rides based on website status

[edit]

Information icon Generally, we shouldn't remove rides based on website status. Sometimes rides are removed because they are going to be undergoing long-term maintenance. Other times, the website itself could be undergoing an overhaul and mistakenly removed a ride in the process (and is later re-added). Removal from the site is not a guarantee the ride is permanently gone. It is better to wait for an official announcement, or at the very least, wait for the next season to begin where the ride's removal will likely be covered by a secondary source. I've left your changes at Six Flags America in place for now, but please keep this in mind for future reference. Thank you. --GoneIn60 (talk) 20:18, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Information icon Appreciate your diligence updating park and coaster articles, but you will need to start adding sources as you go. In this edit for example, you added a claim about the name change, which definitely requires a citation. Per WP:Verifiability, "any material whose verifiability has been challenged or is likely to be challenged, must include an inline citation to a reliable source that directly supports the material". If you need help with adding references to articles, please see referencing for beginners, and you can also ask for assistance at the Teahouse. Please go back to Woodstock's Air Rail and add a reference for that claim. Thank you. --GoneIn60 (talk) 18:24, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Blackpool Pleasure Beach

[edit]

Although the park has now been renamed to Pleasure Beach Resort, that doesn't mean you need to go into all the old ride articles, such as Ghost Train (Blackpool Pleasure Beach) and move them to a new name. I feel this is unnecessary. At the time the ride existed, the park name was Blackpool Pleasure Beach, so the name of the article should reflect that. Redirects will take readers to the updated name, and that is perfectly fine. -- GoneIn60 (talk) 23:39, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Oh ok, what about the current rides? Orion123478 (talk) 23:45, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edit(s) you made did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Project 305

[edit]

I see that you made some contributions to the newly moved Project 305 page. Do we know for certain that the coaster is getting renamed? It looks to me like there are some changes coming and those changes are currently known as "Project 305" according to KD's website. However, it seems to me that is the title of the project — not the name of coaster. Have we seen any sources that indicate the coaster is going to be renamed?JlACEer (talk) 18:56, 28 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I refer that change the name into Troll's Trollercoaster

[edit]

Hello, there!!! I see you got edits on the articles on Universal Studios Florida!!! And the point is, I refer that change the name into "Troll's Trollercoaster" in the section of DreamWorks Land at Universal Studios Florida!!!

Because it seems that I remember about how "KidZone" must be permanently closed to make way for "DreamWorks Land", including "Po Live!", "Shrek's Swamp Meet" and "Troll's Trollercoaster"!!!

Okay? So, good luck with that!!! And a Happy Leap Day!!! Hiperjavier2006 (talk) 16:22, 29 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Snoopy and Six Flags

[edit]

You recently edited the article Peanuts to claim that Snoopy is now the mascot at all Six Flags parks. However, you added no source to claim that. If you have a source that says that Snoopy will become a mascot at the pre-existing Six Flags park, please add that reference. Otherwise, please adjust your edit accordingly. -- Nat Gertler (talk) 04:27, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, the introduction of inappropriate pages, such as Six Flags (1961–2025), is considered vandalism and is prohibited. Six Flags Great Adventure

[edit]

Hello,

With all the changes happening at this park, I appreciate that you are working to keep things up to date. However, you still need to include reliable sources for the claims that you make. I've reverted your change putting Dare Devil Dive into "former attractions", and also your changes saying that the Golden Kingdom is now defunct, since these were unsourced. Demolition permits alone probably do not constitute a reliable source; we should wait for official word from the park, especially since the page for the ride is still up. ZLima12 (talk) 21:51, 31 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Canada's Wonderland, you may be blocked from editing. Just because a YouTuber said that Time Warp is demolished and provided photo and video evidence of it does not mean that Time Warp is actually demolished. We still need official confirmation from the park themselves or from reliable news media first. Oh, and Time Warp is still listed on the official Canada's Wonderland website. Johnny Au (talk/contributions) 00:21, 8 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Omg your so annoying, if it’s being demolished then it’s not coming back

Hi Orion123478. Personal knowledge, including things you saw, read or heard about is not admissable as a source. It is considered a form of original research which is not allowed. Videos on YouTube are also generally not considered as acceptable for WP:RS purposes. Your contributions are appreciated, but please take some time to ensure that any claims of fact, beyond obvious things, are properly cited. Thank you. -Ad Orientem (talk) 19:57, 8 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Trolls' Trollercoaster moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Trolls' Trollercoaster, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. AgerJoy talk 17:09, 19 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Information icon In this edit and others like it, you are explaining that there is a source out there. However, it is your responsibility to supply the source on Wikipedia. We can't rely on edit summaries as a reason or source for the change. I understand from some of your explanations above that minor removals are not highly-publicized. That is true. In those cases where you can't find a reliable source, we'll need to wait until the ride is no longer listed on the park's website. Currently, it's still there (link).

And finally, we should wait to remove the ride from the main article until its removal is complete, from both the park and the park's website. --GoneIn60 (talk) 17:28, 24 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Idk how to source a social media comment, if I did i would’ve added the source Orion123478 (talk) 17:42, 24 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Social media accounts/postings are not typically preferred on Wikipedia. If it ends up being the only one, we can use it, but we should wait a bit to see if any news sources pick it up. Once we've settled on the source, you can add a sentence to the existing KI article that the ride is scheduled for removal in 2025, and then cite that source. Once the ride is completely gone, we can then move the entry over to List of former Kings Island attractions. Thanks. --GoneIn60 (talk) 17:47, 24 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
And cool, will do!! Orion123478 (talk) 17:50, 24 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Also, I didn't see anything posted on Kings Island's X (Twitter) account. Where did you see it? --GoneIn60 (talk) 17:48, 24 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Instagram, they made a comment on someone’s post asking if the ride would open this season Orion123478 (talk) 17:49, 24 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Someone’s comment on kings island’s post* Orion123478 (talk) 17:49, 24 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
OK, yeah a comment in a thread is not going to be acceptable here. We need an official post that was meant to be seen by the masses. They may add something to the KI Blog eventually or X. If not, we'll just have to wait until it's gone from the ride listing page. --GoneIn60 (talk) 17:52, 24 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Another missing source

[edit]

Information icon At Kings Dominion, you added information again without providing a source. I went ahead and did it for you this time, but you'll need to start doing this on your own, or you may eventually lose your editing privileges. Look at what I did in this edit and be sure to read WP:REFB and WP:CITE. If you need more help, you can ask questions at the Teahouse or reach out to me on my talk page (though my time on Wikipedia will be limited over the next month or so). Take this opportunity to make sourcing a habit. It is a critical skill to learn on Wikipedia. --GoneIn60 (talk) 06:06, 27 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Dare Devil Dive

[edit]

Why was this article moved to Dare Devil Dive (roller coaster)? Is there another "Dare Devil Dive" out there? --GoneIn60 (talk) 18:20, 26 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Six flags calls a lot of their Skycoasters Dare Devil Dive Orion123478 (talk) 18:30, 26 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, thanks for the clarification. A disambig page probably needs to be created then called Dare Devil Dive (instead of the redirect) that lists the possible destinations users might be looking for when searching that term. It could look like something similar to this page: Diamondback. -- GoneIn60 (talk) 20:15, 26 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

March 2025

[edit]

Warning icon Stop removing rides/attractions from amusement park articles or changing them to the status of "Removed". You are clearly struggling to get these right. Your recent edits at La Ronde were reverted for making an incorrect claim that the ride was removed from the park's website. Even when rides disappear from park sites, there's still no guarantee the ride is being (or was) removed. Park websites occasionally contain errors. Other times, the ride may have been removed while undergoing refurbishment, such as what happened with the Grand Ole Carousel. You changed that ride to "Removed" status here and also removed it from the current list at Six Flags St. Louis in this edit. Yet, the park had no intentions of permanently removing the ride. This is why you cannot rely on the app or website alone for these kinds of decisions.

You may need to review Wikipedia's original research policy, which was mentioned to you earlier (see above). Moving forward, cite a reliable source and/or discuss on the article's talk page before changing the status of a ride. Failure to do so will be seen as disruptive and will likely lead to a block. --GoneIn60 (talk) 13:33, 4 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Canada's Wonderland regarding the removal of Time Warp. Social media posts are not reliable. X (formerly Twitter) is not a reliable source. Johnny Au (talk/contributions) 14:53, 11 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

It is important for you to cite reliable sources with each edit you are making. Posting in the edit summary or on user talk pages is not sufficient enough. All of your edits to List of incidents at independent amusement parks were reverted by another user because you failed to explain in the edit summary what you were doing. I figured out that you were moving all those to the List of incidents at Herschend parks page, but it wasn't that obvious to those who haven't been closely following Herschend's acquisitions. A third editor has now stepped in to fix that. All of this could have been avoided if you had just taken the time to explain in the edit summary what you were doing. Please double-check your edits before publishing them

[edit]

Hello, I am just here to ask you to please double-check your edits for typos and other errors before you publish them. Recently, your additions of notations of each ride's location at Kennywood in their new named areas left several errors in the tables in which the rides are listed, and I had to go through and fix them. You also made a similar typo when moving the Apollo ride from Dorney Park to the defunct section, though that's a simple mistake and easily forgivable (although you did also remove the link to the ride's Wikipedia page when you moved it, which is something to avoid doing). My point in mentioning this is to simply ask you to double-check before publishing things. Maybe use the preview function to make sure you haven't caused any errors, and read everything over to make sure you haven't made any typos. It can be frustrating for other editors to have to do unwarranted cleanup on an article when another editor adds good information in a sloppy manner. Thanks and happy editing!
