I agree with @Lectonar that you shouldn't delete other parts of the infobox even if you plan to come back later to add something.

Your edit on New Mexico got reverted by @Magnolia677. They should definitely post to say why it was reverted (WP:REVEXP, not policy but I agree with it). I would've also reverted it because you didn't cite any source.
