Managing a conflict of interest

Hello, OkPhilD. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

Dear MrOllie, Many thanks for your message. Indeed, I attempted to make available some of the findings of a paper I published in Minds and Machines on the Turing Test to the Wikipedia entry on the Turing Test. Your message and the elimination of my attempted contribution prompts me ask whether my being the author of the academic paper sufficient ground for my not being able to contribute its findings to Wikipedia or what do you think I need to revise in order to make it available to Wikipedia readers?
