Edit warring
[edit] You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Hell's Kitchen (American TV series) season 17. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Magitroopa (talk) 05:35, 27 March 2025 (UTC)
Jonny Coyne
[edit]Hi NekoKatsun - you recently reversed some changes we'd tried to make for Jonny Coyne. Are you able to help us make changes the right way? Jonny's birthday is inaccurate and while i have the backing documentation to support a correct, I'm hesitant to post in in any public-facing forum. Trademarktalent33 (talk) 21:13, 31 March 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for reaching out! I see that you've been posting on the Talk page for Mr. Coyne, so I'll provide a more specific response there. Asking on the talk page is the exact right way to go about this sort of thing, by the way; Wikipedia as a whole aims for a neutral stance, and so generally frowns on edits that might have a conflict of interest - business owners editing the pages of their products to say they're the best thing since sliced bread, or political representatives editing pages to downplay controversial statements. As a result, the rule of thumb is to 1) disclose a potential conflict of interest, and then 2) suggest the edits on the article's Talk page. This lets uninvolved editors weigh in.
- I'll provide more details and next steps on Talk:Jonny Coyne. NekoKatsun (nyaa) 15:19, 1 April 2025 (UTC)
Controversies surrounding Robert Falcon Scott
[edit]Good morning NekoKatsun. On May 20th you espressed the wish to further discuss editing proposals on the page Talk:Controversies surrounding Robert Falcon Scott. I am familiar with much of the primary and secondary literature and would be more than willing to discuss the current editing proposals with you. 81.156.206.6 (talk) 09:07, 29 May 2025 (UTC)
