Information icon Hello, I'm User4edits. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Delhi School of Economics, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Pls also see my welcome message above to know more. Hello, I have added the citations now. Thanks Nainaadakasoor (talk) 18:22, 11 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Nainaadakasoor, Citations should be verifiable of the information you are adding. Also, it is not encylopedic to add puffery words such as premier nor to add information as first crossroad from the Singh Dwar. Please see College and university article advice. Also, how are you related to Mahila Mahavidyalaya(MMV)? Thanks, Please feel free to ping/mention -- User4edits (T) 12:54, 12 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I understand and will avoid using terms like "premium." However, I’d like to point out that the citation I had originally included was from an official BHU page maintained by MMV officials. The current citations seem a bit off; they refer to a news article about a protest and a former head who resided in MMV, rather than linking to any official or academically relevant source, such as the institute’s official website.
I am a graduate of Mahila Mahavidyalaya (MMV), BHU, from the 2017–2020 batch, with an Honours degree in Geography. I’d like to share a few important corrections/suggestions regarding the information presented about MMV:
  • MMV is not just an undergraduate-level institution; it also offers postgraduate (MA) and doctoral (PhD) programs. Please visit the citations before editing it.
  • Most importantly, MMV holds a unique place in the history of Banaras Hindu University, as it was the first and only women’s institute established for higher education within BHU, founded by Mahamana.
I hope these points can be reflected accurately. Thank you! Nainaadakasoor (talk) 07:02, 13 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Please see No original research, and Puffery. Thank you for disclosing your affiliation with MMV. Please also consider declaring a conflict of interest per my message below. Thanks, Please feel free to ping/mention -- User4edits (T) 16:37, 13 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Sir, Would you kindly visit the Wikipedia and official MMV/ BHU page and make the necessary edits? It would be best if you only update the information (citations as well) that needs correction, ensuring that people looking for reliable and authentic information are not misinformed. Thank you for your help. Nainaadakasoor (talk) 07:06, 14 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Nainaadakasoor, I have updated the information on page BHU as follows:
Mahila Mahavidyalaya (MMV) (transl. Women's College) is an undergraduate level women's college. It was established in 1929 and is located inside the university campus.
changed to
Mahila Mahavidyalaya (MMV) (transl. Women's College) is a women's college, established in 1929, located inside the university campus.
I have checked the MMV page, and it looks updated to me as it mentions UG & PG courses. However, I am not sure if Doctoral courses are allowed at MMV (as said on MMV Wiki page and claimed by you). Similarly, my limited research says that post-graduate courses are offered in only 3 subjects, while undergraduate is in 36 subjects -- See this page.
If you can provide reliable sources that PG is taught in much more courses, and doctoral programs in any of the courses, it would be of great help.

Hi, I would like to share a few corrections and important points regarding the information mentioned about Mahila Mahavidyalaya (MMV), BHU.
Firstly, I am a graduate from MMV, batch of 2017–2020, with an Honours degree in Geography. I noticed that the citations provided in the paragraph related to MMV are irrelevant. They refer to a protest and not to official or relevant academic sources, such as the institute’s official website.
Secondly, it’s important to note that MMV is not just an undergraduate-level college; it also offers postgraduate (MA) and doctoral (PhD) programs.
Lastly, one very significant aspect of MMV that should be mentioned is its historical importance: it was the first and only women’s institute established for higher education within Banaras Hindu University (BHU) by Mahamana. Nainaadakasoor (talk) 06:53, 13 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Nainaadakasoor. Dear User4edits,
I’d like to clarify that I’m not here to advertise, promote, or publicize anything. I fully understand Wikipedia’s guidelines regarding conflicts of interest and the importance of maintaining a neutral point of view. I appreciate you sharing the link and taking the time to review the edit.
My only concern is the accuracy of the article. Since many people rely on Wikipedia as a trusted source, I believe it's essential that the information reflects reality and remains free from misinformation. I grew up turning to Wikipedia to learn about new topics, but after joining college, I realized that some entries, like the one on my institution, aren’t always complete or entirely accurate. That encouraged me to create an account and try contributing to a platform that taught me so much growing up.
With that in mind, I kindly request that you consider reviewing the following information: the institution is not solely an undergraduate college. It also offers M.A. programs in Education, Home Science, and Bioinformatics, as well as Ph.D. courses. I’d also suggest revisiting the citations for accuracy. If you find the sources reliable and the information valid, I’d be grateful if you could help incorporate it into the article appropriately.
I’m still learning, and I’ve gained a lot from this interaction. Thank you again for your time and guidance.
Best regards,
Nainaadakasoor
