[edit] Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at Ahmadiyya, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Hi MAJOR1980! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Talk:2025 India–Pakistan conflict several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.
All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:2025 India–Pakistan conflict, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. This is a gentle reminder that you can't just undo "answered edit requests" based on your whims. [1]. I answered your edit request. I told you what to do. If you do not like it, discuss further on the page, not try to manually revert.. Soni (talk) 18:47, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Soni. My whims are based on BBC. You asked me to mention in terms of Change X to Y that i did. Do i have to create a new edit request just because it was marked yes without discussion ? and the edit you are referring to is marking my edit request as unanswered which in fact it was. The article mixes two reports together of two different locations i want to make it factual and correct how is that impulsive? Please discuss the matter at hand of improving the said article and wikipedia in general. thanks. MAJOR1980 (talk) 07:34, 15 May 2025 (UTC)
Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Talk page remarks!
[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contribution(s). However, as a general rule, while user talk pages permit a small degree of generalisation, other talk pages such as 2025 India-Pakistan conflict are strictly for discussing improvements to their associated main pages, and many of them have special instructions on the top. They are not a general discussion forum about the article's topic or any other topic. If you have questions or ideas and are not sure where to post them, consider asking at the Teahouse. you are engaging in whataboutery and diverting the topic by pushing your pov with unrelated questionable examples, you can go and do it in your such information sharing social media groups but Wikipedia is not the place for that HilssaMansen19 (talk) 20:47, 16 May 2025 (UTC)
