The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Your 21 December 2023 edit of the Torino scale article, using a source rescue bot, added several erroneous archive links. I corrected most of these manually now, and the bot may have been updated to not produce such errors any more, but if not, I wanted to tell about the problem.
All of the major errors were for links to a frequently updated NASA page for asteroids, which uses dynamic URL to access data for individual asteroids. Some 7 years ago, both the static and dynamic parts of the URL of this page changed. The bot produced archive links that combined the pre-2016 static URL for one specific asteroid with the post-2016 dynamic part of the URL for the asteroid the source was truly for, with a 2013 archive date. So if you clicked on any of these erroneous archive links, it was redirected to the same archived page for that one asteroid.
Additionally, in some other cases, when a version of a frequently updated page was used as a source, the archive URL that was added was for versions of that page at an irrelevant date. Rontombontom (talk) 13:20, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
