Draft review guidance
[edit]Hi Khaleelzama,
I noticed you’ve created a draft. Great start! Please follow these guidelines and steps to ensure your draft meets Wikipedia standards before moving it to mainspace:
Core Wikipedia policies
[edit]- Verifiability (WP:V): Every statement must be backed by a reliable, published source.
- No original research (WP:OR): Only include information already published by reputable sources.
- Neutral point of view (WP:NPOV): Write impartially and avoid promotional or biased language.
- Civility (WP:CIVIL): Treat all editors with respect and assume good faith.
- Reliable sources (WP:RS): Prefer secondary sources—avoid self‑published or questionable outlets.
- Notability (WP:NOTABILITY): Topics must meet notability criteria to merit their own article.
- Manual of Style (WP:MOS): Follow consistent formatting, spelling, and layout conventions.
- Copyright (WP:COPYRIGHT): Do not copy protected text—only use quotations with proper attribution.
- Biographies of living persons (WP:BLP): Be especially careful with sourcing and privacy for living individuals.
- Conflict of interest (WP:COI): Disclose and avoid editing where you have a personal or financial interest.
- Disambiguation (WP:DISAMBIG): Use and create disambiguation pages to help readers find the correct topic.
- Categorization (WP:CAT): Add articles to the most specific, relevant categories—avoid overcategorization.
- External links (WP:EL): Link only to official sites or highly relevant resources; avoid link spam.
Steps to complete your draft
[edit]- Write a clear lead and define scope: Summarize the topic in 1–2 paragraphs and ensure the draft covers the subject comprehensively but concisely.
- Add reliable sources: Ensure every statement has a citation using `[1]` (Citing sources).
- Maintain neutrality: Write in an unbiased tone and avoid promotional language (WP:NPOV).
- Organize content and style: Use clear section headings (e.g., ==Introduction==, ==History==).
- Include categories: At the bottom, add ` ` so readers can find it.
- Provide an edit summary: When ready, write “Moving draft to mainspace” in the summary box.
- Publish the draft: Click Publish page at the top to move it into the main namespace.
Once done, your article will appear among the mainspace pages. If you have any questions or need feedback, leave another message here or ping me on my talk page: Talk:@Gvihar.
Happy editing! —Gvihar 22:45, 25 July 2025 (UTC) Gvihar 22:45, 25 July 2025 (UTC)
