Hello Wikipedia: I'm trying to make the concept of mechanistic interpretability a standalone page, rather than as a subsection of the explainability page. This is mostly because the community of researchers working on mech interp is quite different from those working on explainability, or even interpretability, and mech interp as an agenda in ai safety has its own history and methodology. I was wondering if you had any tips for this type of movement.
- Hello JoNeedsSleep, if you want to create an article on Wikipedia, then you should look at the Help:Your first article and Wikipedia:The perfect article. Anything that I say here will already be covered in these articles, but I do advise you to make edits on things like copyediting, updating and expanding material before you create an article on such a topic because it will make it easier for you. Although that is ignorable, while creating this article, you should place this article in your sandbox, Special:MyPage/sandbox. Also be sure to read the getting started template. Even if you have no experience, reading that will help you greatly when creating an article so you understand the expectations of Wikipedia.
Have fun editing and I am grateful that you are making an article on such an important topic. Easternsahara (talk) 21:15, 3 May 2025 (UTC)
