Wikimedia Aotearoa New Zealand runs local in person meetups in some cities and has a regular series of events where you can find people to help you on your editing journey or just hang out with like-minded people. Check out local Meet Ups and online editathons. We organise an annual conference and the next one will be in Christchurch in March 2025.

It's good to see positive contributions from your end - I saw your recent article "Victoria Lake (New Zealand)" and liked it! I see on your userpage that you may be based in Canterbury; I'm also based in Canterbury (Christchurch more specifcially). There is a monthly meetup that happens in the city, and I will be attending starting in July. Manorburn Dam

Hi Hestia of the Unknown! Thanks for your creation of a handful of Central Otago articles such as Manorburn Dam. Just a heads-up that navboxes like {{Central Otago District}} aren't substituted in articles - you simply add them intact with curly brackets. There no such thing as small lakes necessarily not being notable. The sourcing just needs to demonstrate that; your articles are all on the thin end of sourcing, Hestia otU. For inspiration, maybe look at Lake Killarney (New Zealand), which is similarly tiny. In general, I suggest you focus more on quality than producing lots of short articles.
