Hi NotCharizard,
Thanks for your feedback. I want to assure you that this isn't a promotional Article; I'm really interested in contemporary outsider artists and have tried to keep things neutral by using reliable sources I found online.
Could you give me any tips on how to improve the article? I'd really appreciate any advice you have.
Thanks again for your help!
Best,

Hello HawwyPotta (I like your name),
An encyclopedia article should describe the facts about a person, and Wikipedia's goal is to summarise what unaffiliated, neutral sources say about a person (the article talks a lot about what Jazzu himself thinks about himself and his paintings, which isn't generally relevent most of the time). Sentences like "known for his vibrant, intuitive approach to painting" are promotional language, even if you're not consciously trying to promote the person. If you find a source that say the person is known for that, feel free to directly quote and cite the source! But otherwise, it is your own opinion (even if most people agree with it) and innappropriate. Have a look at the Words to Watch guide, I've found it very helpful it writing neutrally about topics I'm passionate about.
There's a lot of things in the article that are uncourced - where is that information from? It's really important for users to be able to verify the information themselves so they know someone hasn't just made it up.
Good luck! -- NotCharizard 🗨 11:11, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
