Warning icon Please refrain from hijacking pages, as you did with Elektor. Should you believe the subject you were writing about deserves an article, please use the Article Wizard, which has an option to create a draft version that you can then get feedback on. Please also see Wikipedia's disambiguation guideline which indicates how to handle separate subjects with similar names. If you continue to hijack an existing article, you may be blocked from editing. If you have any questions, you are always welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because it has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, website, or role, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:

  1. Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  2. Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  3. Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  4. Provide a new username.

To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page.

This user is asking to be unblocked to request a change in username.

(Non-administrator comment) You have to disclose your client, employer, and whoever else may be paying you or otherwise compensating you for your edits to Wikipedia in accordance to the paid editing policy. Saying that you are affiliated with this company, i.e. having a conflict of interest, is not adequate. Paid editing is a very specific kind of conflict of interest.
Additionally, you have to describe to the reviewing admin the kinds of edits you would like to make, such as the subject areas you would like to focus on. If you intend to be unblocked so that you can continue to write about Elektor as you did, this is the end of the line. You will not be unblocked for this reason. I am a junior marketing associate at Elektor. While I am not specifically paid to edit Wikipedia, I understand that my employment creates a conflict of interest, and I will disclose this per the paid-contribution policy. I am seeking to improve the article on Elektor to reflect its current activities, including ElektorMag, the Elektor Store, Elektor Academy Pro, and the acquisition of eeNews.
I now understand the importance of neutrality and verifiability on Wikipedia. I will only propose edits on the article’s talk page and invite uninvolved editors to review and post them. I request to be unblocked under a new username that does not represent a company or brand, and I commit to full compliance with all relevant policies. There isn't an article about your company to contribute to, so what articles will you be editing? Please know that Wikipedia is not a place for companies to tell about themselves, their offerings, and what they consider to be their own history. Wikipedia articles summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about a topic, like a notable company. 331dot (talk) 12:20, 12 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Please see WP:BOSS, and have your superiors read it, too. 331dot (talk) 12:21, 12 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the clarification. I want the information on this page to be updated: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elektor
How do I do that? Elektor Marketing (talk) 12:30, 12 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment) Assuming that your unblock request is accepted, then we advise you to learn the process of how to make edit requests, described at Wikipedia:Edit requests. This will allow you to propose changes on the article's talk page, which can be reviewed by independent editors. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:43, 12 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
