[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved content from one or more pages into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content (here or elsewhere), Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g.,
copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. SounderBruce 08:23, 22 June 2025 (UTC)
Splitting an article
[edit]Please see WP:SPLIT for the procedure and what is needed. The first step is to propose the split at Talk:Pattullo Bridge.
Please also see WP:BRD. The third step in the process is discussion, which comes after the first revert. Do not continue reverting, as this constitutes an edit war. SounderBruce 21:33, 22 June 2025 (UTC)
- It also says "if an article meets the criteria for splitting and no discussion is required, editors can be bold and carry out the split.". The bridge has a new name (by your own admission that is good enough for a new article. When my edit summary and the new page says a new name will be decided.
- You are accusing me of edit warring. When I have try MANY times to try to get you to discuss it and you are reverting my requests for you to explain your reasoning on the articles talk page. Which BTW goes against the rules of rollback. Wikipedia:Rollback. How would you feel if I reverted this comment. Created Account For Old UI (talk) 21:54, 22 June 2025 (UTC)
- A user can remove any comment from their own talk page, per WP:UOWN. The notice at the talk of my talk page is there for a good reason, as having discussions split between too many venues makes accountability difficult. SounderBruce 22:06, 22 June 2025 (UTC)
- Just because you can doesn't mean you should. Everything I said was fair. Also, you can only use rollback for vandalism and using it on me was a big stretch. Created Account For Old UI (talk) 22:23, 22 June 2025 (UTC)
- I'll also mention I was not trying to have the discussion on your talk page. If you read my message, you'd see I was requesting you to make your point on the Pattullo Bridge's talk page as your edit summary was insufficient. Created Account For Old UI (talk) 22:34, 22 June 2025 (UTC)
