[edit] Hello, I'm Fountains of Bryn Mawr. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. Take a look at our guidelines about external links. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Fountains of Bryn Mawr (talk) 01:52, 15 February 2025 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did at Refracting telescope, you may be blocked from editing. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. Civility
[edit]Name calling of other editors is not nice, not productive and not permitted on Wikipedia. Please don't do it again. Thanks. Escape Orbit (Talk) 18:06, 15 February 2025 (UTC)
While your contributions to Wikipedia are much appreciated, the problem with them seems to be that they focus on adding cites and external links to one website. Please understand that external links should be about either linking to official websites or authorities related to the article subject, or websites that provide content that cannot be on Wikipedia (e.g. for reasons of copyright). Adding links to a website that effectively repeats what the article already says, or says things that could be added to the article, raises suspicions that improving Wikipedia is not the purpose of these edits. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 18:27, 15 February 2025 (UTC)
