Reference out of place & message box

[edit]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khaldoun_Sweis

Hi.

I´m curious to know why the number 4 appears at the top in the References-section.

I´d also like to know the reason behind the message box at the top. It was there before I edited.

Yours truly Audun H. Nilsen AudunNilsenOslo (talk) 15:25, 28 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I answered you on the article Talk page.--Bbb23 (talk) 16:00, 28 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, AudunNilsenOslo. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Khaldoun Sweis, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Bump

Hi

I was hired by Dr. Khaldoun Sweis to fix his Wikipedia-article, which I felt I did, and now it´s cut in half, and I´m being told not to edit - all the while there still are "error messages" at the top of the article.

I was told in the chat that the previous issue was inline-links.

As for sourced material, I feel there are ample amounts of those?

One section that was removed was Personal life. I don´t know why that would be removed when it was there before? Would it help if Dr. Khaldoun verified the information personally?

Another section that was removed was Core Philosophy, which seems of public interest to me, as he meets several criteria for Notable Academic.

Thanks for disclosing PAID status

[edit]

I expected to see a U5 deletion notice here on your talk page, but apparently you were not extended that courtesy.

In our IRC discussion, we gave some advice that is pretty much what we would give any new editor presenting a draft for review. Your situation is similar in that you have agreed to work on the page and can be expected to be a responsible Wikipedia editor, with all that that entails, as well as bearing the additional burden of a conflict of interest in wanting the best look for your client.

Right now, the current state of the page falls somewhat short of what is required for notability. You will need to find some additional sources that can serve as independent references and you will need to weed out the sources that are not independent and either replace them with better ones or remove the material that depends on them. The most important thing to find are independent sources that help establish that Sweis's work has had an impact or influence on his field of study. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 02:42, 3 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I just reverted your edits to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Khaldoun Sweis again. AfDs are very structured, and you've been adding your very poorly formatted comments at the top ahead of the nomination itself. You can add comments to the AfD, but they should be at the bottom of the page and labeled as "Comment". No one cares where you copied them from.--Bbb23 (talk) 15:01, 14 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Khaldoun Sweis, please be sure to sign your posts (but never when editing articles). There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Warm Regards, Miminity (Talk?) (me contribs) 10:12, 19 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Old accounts

[edit]

Information icon Hello, AudunNilsenOslo, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as NilsenAudun (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. Gheus (talk) 03:38, 15 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I still wish for clarification on the [Khaldoun Sweiss]-page. Commented on the talk-page there.

Khaldoun Sweis moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Khaldoun Sweis, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
