Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. -- ferret (talk) 22:41, 17 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

February 2021

[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Wikipedia:April Fools/April Fools' Day 2021. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose their editing privileges on that page. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to result in loss of your editing privileges.

As of 2021, edit warring is expressly prohibited on April Fools pages. See WP:AF2020.pythoncoder (talk | contribs) 19:05, 14 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry. Another Wiki User the 2nd (talk) 21:14, 14 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Apology accepted. Now you know for next time. —pythoncoder (talk | contribs) 16:36, 15 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! This is a friendly reminder of the rules of Wikipedia:Department of Fun/Word Association. Players can only play one associated word at a time. Ntmamgtw (talk) 19:52, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, sorry. I just like it a little too much. Another Wiki User the 2nd (talk) 21:18, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your proposals

[edit]

Hi, I've noticed over the past month or so, you've made several proposals at WP:VPPR. However, you don't seem to have much experience with editing Wikipedia itself past talk pages and other discussion. It may be better if you help out my improving articles in mainspace and getting used to editing before making proposals for now as many of the proposals you have made are already implemented, or have strong consensus against them. Regards, Ed6767 talk! 22:23, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Zsohl. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Wikipedia:April Fools/April Fools' Day 2023—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. Zsohl(Talk) 15:48, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on GO TO FANDOM, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Deauthorized. You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on BFDI (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
  • disambiguates zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
  • is an orphaned redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that does not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Deauthorized. I've deleted this, please do not make joke pages like this in mainspace. Doing this repeatedly may be considered disruptive and can result in a block. I'm not trying to be the fun police, it's just that the mainspace really isn't the place for it. Moneytrees🏝️(Talk) 16:14, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, the introduction of inappropriate pages, such as GO TO FANDOM, is considered vandalism and is prohibited. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion.

Information icon Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. This includes trying to use Wikipedia to publicise you Fandom page. JBW (talk) 16:42, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Warning

[edit]

Your recreation of the above page, along with your spamming of BFDI, is disruptive and you will be blocked if you continue. Moneytrees🏝️(Talk) 18:04, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:April Fool's Day/Post-GAFDEW II edit wars, a page which you created or substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; you may participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:April Fool's Day/Post-GAFDEW II edit wars and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Wikipedia:April Fool's Day/Post-GAFDEW II edit wars during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Aasim - Herrscher of Wikis ❄️ 03:25, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

:I have a suggestion for you. You appear to be relatively new to Wikipedia in terms of edit count (yes, I counted your edits from your past accounts) and may not be familiar with all the norms and expectations for the project. How about you stay out of Project: space unless if it is absolutely relevant to improving the encyclopedia (i.e. reporting vandals, requesting protection of vandalized pages, asking for help editing at WP:HD, etc.). Hello

[edit]

I've deleted Template:Uw-saltearthafd1-- please don't create joke fake warning templates, especially for someone who is preventing further played out jokes. It's ok to make jokes, but please don't be disruptive with them. Moneytrees🏝️(Talk) 17:45, 28 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
