You reverted my redirect as vandalism. Honestly though looking at the article not only are the sources trivial mentions but it seems like ChatGPT wrote it. 2605:B40:1302:6C00:3CEE:CFC5:ED95:AA85 (talk) 22:50, 21 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

No, I reverted it as wp:disruptive editing. You were asked to discuss it on the talk page, yet you restored your edit anyways. That is wp:edit warring. Adakiko (talk) 22:53, 21 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I did add something on the talk page. Problem solved. 2605:B40:1302:6C00:3CEE:CFC5:ED95:AA85 (talk) 23:00, 21 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Also there is still excessive detail (i.e. fancruft) 2605:B40:1302:6C00:3CEE:CFC5:ED95:AA85 (talk) 23:36, 21 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Adakiko, I just added a book in the bibliography (with its ISBN), I didn't mean to delete anything, if I did was by mistake. I can't figure out what was wrong with my edit, can you please be more specific? Thanks! Neuromancer2022 (talk) 15:08, 16 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Replying on editor's talk page. Adakiko (talk) 18:39, 16 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your answer, I wasn't aware that I deleted the formatting of the citations, I just wanted to add a book in the bibliography. I thought that I just added a "cite book" in alphabetical order in the template and that was it. I don't know if I can try again now. Any help highly appreciated. Neuromancer2022 (talk) 22:07, 16 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Adakiko, I think you mistakenly put the section I removed from Devin Finzer's bio back in. I need to remove it. Devin Finzer's net worth is 1.) not relevant to the article and 2.) it's incorrect. On January 5th, 2022, Forbes reported, "The founders of buzzy blockchain startup OpenSea have joined the three-comma club following a fresh funding round announced Tuesday that values the company at $13.3 billion—up from $1.5 billion just six months ago. With estimated 18.5% stakes in OpenSea, cofounders Devin Finzer and Alex Atallah are each worth about $2.2 billion, Forbes estimates," but on April 5th, 2023, in an article titled "Here’s who fell off Forbes’ 2023 billionaires list" Forbes reported, "Tech tycoons were hit the hardest, with 52 seeing their net worths fall under $1 billion over the past year. This includes Alex Atallah and Devin Finzer, cofounders of NFT marketplace OpenSea." In addition, on December 24th, 2022 Forbes published a piece titled, "These crypto founders and Bitcoin moguls lost US$116 billion in 2022," that includes the section, "The embattled cryptocurrency industry and its wealthy pioneers face a moment of reckoning after the collapse of crypto exchange FTX and hedge fund Alameda Research. For example, shares of NFT exchange OpenSea are trading at a 75% discount since January, when OpenSea hit a $13.3 billion valuation, according to data from private market exchanges ApeVue and CapLight. Daily trading volumes on OpenSea’s NFT exchange have been under $10 million in the last month, compared to over $200 million back in January, according to crypto site DappRadar. OpenSea’s 30-something cofounders, Devin Finzer and Alex Atallahh, are no longer billionaires."

For these reasons, I think it's inaccurate and a misrepresentation of Devin Finzer to have the section on his net worth included. In addition, there have been a spate of recent kidnappings and threats against crypto founders and it puts Finzer in an unsafe position for his net worth to be displayed (especially if it's overestimated in the way it is) on Wikipedia. I plan to go back and remove it again now. I will copy this information into my edit so it's clear. TinyPaintings21 (talk) 16:38, 19 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Clavius

[edit]

Hi Adakiko! I noticed that the Clavius Base reference was removed from the James Dargie entry or related discussion. I respectfully believe this may have been an error, as the reference is relevant. It links to James Dargie’s official website, which helps verify his professional background and body of work.

Additionally, I’d like to kindly suggest that James Dargie may be notable enough for a dedicated Wikipedia article. With credits on major titles like Call of Duty: Black Ops, Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, Metroid Prime, and Defiance, and leadership roles in both the game and film industries, he seems to meet Wikipedia's notability criteria for creatives.

He's one of my favorite art directors, and I’d be happy to help improve or source the article further if needed. I wrote a draft but I have never done this before if you could help look at my entry or assist in writing it?

Thanks for your time and all your contributions! NinjaWarrior100 (talk) 23:11, 22 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@NinjaWarrior100: Other than Dargie's website's name what has it got to do with Clavius (crater)? If James Dargie had a Wikipedia article, it would be less likely an issue, at least for me.
What happened to user:NinjaWarrior99? If you lost your password, you should mention this on your user page user:NinjaWarrior100 otherwise you might get wp:sock accusations. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 01:50, 23 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yes I did!
How would I add it to my user page?
Can you help me make James Dargie an entry? NinjaWarrior100 (talk) 22:08, 23 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@NinjaWarrior100: See wp:Sockpuppetry#COMPSOCK on what to do about NinjaWarrior99. Have you lost your password 99 times? {{subst:smiley}} If you enable email in your preferences, you can request a password reset. Just have to remember which iteration of NinjaWarriorXX you are on!
Does James Dargie meet wp:GNG and wp:Notability (people)? That would be a good place to start. Find non-primary RS sources. News articles, books, etc. If you can find sufficient RS sources, you should not have any trouble. Avoid wp:questionable sources. e.g. user-generated content (wp:UGC) such as IMDB and Wikipedia as well as self-published sources (wp:self-published) such as blogs and personal websites. A good rule: is there an editor checking up on the writers? e.g. editorial review - Certain UGC unless they are acceptable. See WP:RSPLIST for a list of common good and bad sources. You can request that your draft be resurrected. See WP:UDP. Let me know when you want to look at it! Cheers Adakiko (talk) 23:06, 23 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
