Information icon Hello, I'm StefenTower. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Louisville International Airport, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. FAA data is the gold standard - you've been told this in previous reverts. Stefen 𝕋owers among the rest! If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Please stop changing this to an incorrect value. The FAA's current data says it's 1,200 acres and that is what we're going with. Also, the airport's website isn't an independent source. Therefore, it is reasonable to go with what the FAA says. Stefen 𝕋owers among the rest! GabGruntwerk 05:57, 25 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with the above editor. It is 1,200 acres. You changed it back to 1,500 acres. Form 5010 for SDF and skyvector cite 1,200 acres, and it always has been, airport websites are unreliable with airport sizes. The FAA website is the gold standard and always will be. Hope you reconsider. Have a good day.Theairportman33531 (talk) 12:42, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I will reiterate that we should not be using a primary source, the airport itself, as a reliable source for the size of the airport. The FAA data says 1,200 acres and that's what we need to go with. If you happen to be an airport employee making these changes, I suggest talking to your management about squaring these figures so the FAA reports what you think the value should be. Hi, I'm GingerLines. To avoid a back-and-forth devolving into an edit war regarding the USL Division One article I wanted to try reaching out here before taking any further steps. As I've stated in several edit summaries and per the conversation on the article's talk page, the addition of Louisville City FC meeting the division one stadium capacity requirements is not supported by the current citations within the article. If you can find an article that clearly includes Louisville City and Lynn Family Stadium as 'fulfilling the stadium requirements for a division one team' I would be happy to keep it in the article. Until then, per Wikipedia's requirement for having sources for changes to articles, it cannot be added. Thank you. gingerlines (talk) 11:54, 4 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Lynn Family Stadium/USL Division One

@70.187.140.172 Wikipedia articles should not be used as a citation for a different Wikipedia article, especially if the information on the first Wikipedia articl is not cited from an independent source. If it is cited from an independent source, then use that citation from the first Wikipedia article to update the second Wikipedia article, not the first Wikipedia article as the source. The only citation in the Lynn Family Stadium article, citied here, talks about the plans for the stadium but doesn't reference what the final stadium seating after construction was complete. Please read Wikipedia:Independent sources - it will explain for you why the FAA data is preferred over something from the airport's website. This isn't personal - I am merely following Wikipedia policy, and I hope you will too. Stefen 𝕋owers among the rest! GabGruntwerk 06:08, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The Regional Airport Administration of Louisville and Jefferson county recently added 300 additional acres to the airfield just west of the passenger terminal, along Crittenden drive which was relocated west of its original location and also buried under part of the airfield via a tunnel. UPS constructed their new maintenance hangar at this site and you can check both the UPS and RAA website along with local news sources and videos. It's only fair that this change would be approved as it's obvious that this expansion has occurred. Thank you. see link here: UPS adds twin-bay maintenance hangar at Worldport hub - FreightWaves 70.187.140.172 (talk) 06:23, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Great - then have the airport contact the FAA to update the data, so we can then update the article. Stefen 𝕋owers among the rest! GabGruntwerk 06:25, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Also the source you used to revert against wiki policy says nothing to back up 1,500 acres. Please change it back to 1,200. That is the verified independent value per the FAA. Stefen 𝕋owers among the rest! GabGruntwerk 06:31, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
