Ship of Theseus project

[edit]

Hi, I see you've announced at Talk:Ship of Theseus that Over time, I will be replacing, sentence by sentence, each sentence in this article.

It's a fun idea and if every edit was an improvement this wouldn't do any harm. But please don't do this for its own sake! If you're saying that even if a sentence is already written as well as it can be written, you're going to change it, then that won't make a better article. In your replacement of the second sentence you're going against MOS:ENGVAR by switching to the British spelling of honour, and I wouldn't say that the word order on "king of Athens" was an improvement.

The idea that the Ship of Theseus article could be changed entirely line by line over time has also already happened at the hands of different, random editors since it was first created in 2003, and there's already a meme about that (https://www.reddit.com/r/todayilearned/comments/18jjic3/til_that_the_ship_of_theseus_article_has_been/).
