ECR violations

[edit]

The edit requests are not meant to be used as a tool to circumvent the EC restrictions (like you did with this and your other IP). For a start, the edit requests need to be "uncontroversial improvements" (I suggest you read WP:EDITXY for what that means), and second, once an edit request has been made, you don't discuss it. I asked at least some of the edits to add sentences. Why is that not allowed?
At least some of the edits I added information based on common (TOI for example) or relevant sources. So do I have to say I don't like a source and then you will automatically get a rejection?. Is this an encyclopedic approach? 2.55.181.197 (talk) 00:44, 12 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
That's how WP:ECR and WP:EDITXY work. Having a source has nothing to do with it since you're not allowed to discuss the contentious topic. M.Bitton (talk) 00:48, 12 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
So what does your understanding mean is that if a person wants to suggest an edit to the free encyclopedia, he can't? Even if the edit relies on reliable or relevant sources? I can understand limiting editing because that's what the user sees and it's desirable that it be reviewed. That's not the case. Is there no mechanism for suggesting and improving articles? 2.55.170.9 (talk) 10:34, 12 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
