About me
As of 2022 I haven't been very active on Wikipedia for a few years now. It no longer feels like the exciting place for an editor/administrator that it once was. However, my enthusiasm for the project has waxed and waned several times before, so I may yet return. I still keep an eye on my watchlist and make the occasional edit. I also try to respond quickly to any comments on my talk page.

About Wikipedia
The English Wikipedia has 107,534 active editors, out of 49,510,423 accounts that have been registered. Countless people have edited without using an account. There are 838 administrators, of whom fewer than 500 are active as of early 2022. Together the community has made 1,300,042,751 edits to 63,705,205 pages, of which just 7,035,845 are articles – so a lot goes on behind the scenes.
Following a request for comment, there is a new policy outlining the granting of permissions to view the IP addresses of temporary accounts. Temporary account deployment on the English Wikipedia is currently scheduled for September 2025, and editors can request access to the permission ahead of time. Admins are encouraged to keep an eye on the request page; there will likely be a flood of editors requesting the permission when they realize they can no longer see IP addresses.
