Examples
[edit]The name of this page is displayed by the system at the top of the page as follows, depending on the mode selected:
mode=user
: «User:rolf_acker/Template:DISPLAYTITLE»mode=no-ns
: likeuser
but w/o namespace prefix: «rolf_acker/Template:DISPLAYTITLE»mode=sub
: «Template:DISPLAYTITLE»mode=tpl
: especially for templates: «rolf_acker/Template:DISPLAYTITLE»mode=none
: «» (invisible) Please check ...mode=
or by default: same asmode=none
There's a specific home
mode for the user page, which only displays the user name in its own spelling: «rolf_acker».
In case of the user discussion page the functionality is adapted accordingly.
The user name to be displayed can be formatted as long as the rules for the DISPLAYTITLE are observed. An example encountered in practice (see User:TCN7JM) could be implemented with this template as follows:
{{User:Rolf_acker/{{ns:10}}:DISPLAYTITLE|1=<span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="color:blue;">T</span><span style="color:red;">C</span><span style="color:gray;">N7</span>JM</span>|mode=user}}
This would result in DISPLAYTITLEs like «User:TCN7JM/...»
Version information
