About me
[edit]I was born in Harare in 1994. I'm lucky to be born into a middle-class family in Chisipite. I have a lifelong passion for history, especially of Southern Africa. My family is politically inclined. My father was Vice President of the youth wing of the Conservative Alliance of Zimbabwe and a member of the earlier Rhodesian Front before 1980. My mother wrote for The Rhodesian Herald before joining Rhodesia Television as news editor. She then worked for the SABC until 1992.
I lived in New Zealand from 2008 - 2014, attending Auckland Grammar School. It was a privilege to live in a democratic society and to witness effective governance. I returned to Zimbabwe because it's home and worked in libraries around Harare. I joined the National Archives of Zimbabwe in 2018 and frequently work with the University of Zimbabwe.
I have always been in opposition to ZANU-PF and am committed to restoring democracy to Zimbabwe. I'm also an advocate for mental health conditions like Asperger Syndrome, ADHD, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective and Bipolar Disorder. Raising awareness is vitally important in our country as many still don't understand mental health matters well.
