👋 Hello from RanaDG!
[edit]Hi there! I’m Hirak Dasgupta, better known around here as RanaDG. I’m a copywriter, columnist, artist, and educator with over two decades of professional experience, and a lifelong love of good writing, meaningful storytelling, and the curious little things that make us human.
What I Do
[edit]I work as a Senior Content Editor at a reputable company, where I lead content initiatives, write long-form editorials, design visuals, and mentor teams. My career journey has taken me from retail leadership to education to tech content, and I still wear a few hats as a columnist, poet, movie reviewer, and workshop coach.
On Wikipedia, I'm most interested in topics like:
[edit]- Indian art, literature, and cinema
- Socioeconomic development in Tier-2/Tier-3 Indian cities
- Education, language, and pedagogy
- Technology and creative tools
- Hidden stories worth telling
Skills & Passions
[edit]- Writing (copywriting, journalism, poetry, editorial)
- Coaching and mentoring
- Movie reviews and pop culture commentary
- Photography (both lens and phone)
- Painting (especially digital and mixed-media)
I believe in the power of well-crafted words and visuals to shape minds and spark change, and that philosophy carries over into everything I do, whether it’s writing a blog, training a student, or editing a Wikipedia article.

[edit]A Bit More About Me
[edit]I've served as:
- A columnist for The Times of India
- A guest editor for Café Dissensus
- A contributing poet to international literary journals
- A trainer and mentor in English language testing and content writing
And yes, I’ve received a few awards along the way. But the real reward is getting to do what I love: tell stories that matter.
