What this is

[edit]

If you ended up here, I'm sorry.

Okay, jokes aside, this is where I've consolidated my to-do list of articles, source collections, a repository of active drafts, and other things I want to write down for future reference. I don't know if I will ever actually get around to most of these (or finish them), but better to have a place for this stuff than not, y'know?

Plans

[edit]

General long term goals

[edit]
  • Review 100 GANs.
  • Help promote 50 articles to GA status.
  • Start working on actually improving vital articles.
    • Upgrade 10 vital articles in class.

To-do list

[edit]

Planned FACs

[edit]

All of these will take a while as I currently struggle with understanding FA writing standards.

  • Hotline Miami - Failed first FAC, needs a peer review and some copyediting before I try to take it to FAC again.
  • The Foundations of Decay - Probably almost there, as it's already gotten a peer review and is comprehensive sourcing-wise. Still slightly hesitant though, and I'm waiting for the right moment.
  • Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge - With all of the My Chemical Romance article improvements I have been doing, I think that I should attempt to get at least one of the albums to FA status, and Three Cheers probably has the best shot. Granted, I haven't started rewriting it yet or even gotten it to GA status, so it will be a while.
  • Shadow Labyrinth - Once this game is released in mid-2025, I fully plan on working on it to GA and eventually FA.

New article drafts

[edit]

Most of these are unlikely to ever be completed. However, many probably already have half-decent foundations or sources collected for them. If you want to pick up from where I left off, or use what I worked on as a foundation for making an article on a subject yourself, feel free too! I will also be leaving some sort of indication about whether or not the draft likely has potential, or if I'll ever go back to it.

New article drafts
Draft Date created Comments/purpose Likely to complete?
User:NegativeMP1/Boomer shooter March 12, 2024 A draft article I was working on for a niche sub-genre of first person shooter games before I realized that making a split was not necessarily the best idea. No
User:NegativeMP1/Call of Duty HQ March 29, 2024 A draft I was working on for, of all things, the launcher for the Call of Duty games. I probably will not ever finish this as whether or not it is notable beyond Call of Duty is ambiguous. No
User:NegativeMP1/Characters of the Call of Duty series April 10, 2024 An article that definitely should exist, but I'm too lazy to write blurbs about a bunch of characters from a multi-media, long-lasting franchise. Maybe
User:NegativeMP1/Cultural impact of Minecraft September 10, 2024 I think the concept behind an article discussing the cultural impact of Minecraft is probably a great idea that can absolutely work, but the problem is I made the skeleton and then never really wanted to put in the effort to writing it. Or even putting any sources together. Great idea for an article in my opinion, but this draft is basically useless at present. I don't know
User:NegativeMP1/Endless Golf November 17, 2023 I was planning on, at some point, making an article about this borderline shovelware game from the Wii U E-shop. I stopped pretty quickly after I realized the subject likely wasn't notable, and I will not be working on it any more. No
User:NegativeMP1/Endoparasitic (video game) September 4, 2023 An article I tried to make before I had a full comprehension of notability policies. Only ended up getting two critic reviews. It did eventually get put into mainspace for a few days, but I retracted it and scrapped the idea.
User:NegativeMP1/House of Wolves October 19, 2024 Similarly to Endless Golf, I made this draft, realized the sourcing likely wasn't enough to prove notability or pass WP:NSONG, and promptly dropped it. No
User:NegativeMP1/Jetstream Sam July 26, 2023 A draft article I made before I fully comprehended the idea of video game character notability on Wikipedia. Or notability at all, for that matter. Cool character from a game I hold dearly, but he's not notable unless something flew under my radar. This draft's been dead for almost two years now and I probably won't ever return to it. No
User:NegativeMP1/Manic Mechanics September 5, 2024 This game is definitely notable, but I'm too lazy to go through the non-English sourcing for it. Yes
User:NegativeMP1/Music of Hotline Miami August 8, 2023 Kind of explains itself, but I got caught up with the FAC for Hotline Miami (back when that was running) and didn't really want to write a split off article yet. I still don't know if I want to, even though the material is definitely there. Maybe
User:NegativeMP1/Rythm December 4, 2024 An article I was going to write for, of all things, a Discord bot. I still think this is notable, and I will likely write the article for it at some point. Maybe
User:NegativeMP1/Unbound (Halo) September 24, 2024 Alongside this, I actually planned on making articles for all of the Halo TV show episodes. The problem is that I no longer want to subject myself to the torture that is watching the Halo TV show. But hey, at least I made an article for the pilot. I'm sure the average reader is probably confused by why that's the only episode with an article, but oh well. 0.01% chance

Things that are probably notable

[edit]

Not really sure if I'm going to make articles on these things, but there's definitely a precedent.

Subject Type Sources Verdict
"Rust" Video game map [1][2] Maybe notable
"Crash" [3] [4](slight mention)

[5][6]

Maybe notable
Waluigi Pinball [7][8][9] (clearly SIGCOV)

[10][11][12] (rankings)

Maybe notable
Venti Genshin Impact character [1] [2][3][4] Yes
Xiao [5] [6][7][8][9] [10] [11] Maybe notable
Arlecchino [12] [13][14] Yes
