The Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards (also known as the DPIFF Awards) is given to appreciate the creation of Indian Film Fraternity, to honour Innovation and creative excellence in Indian Entertainment Industry. It also acknowledges people’s outstanding contribution to Indian Cinema (All Languages). The award was introduced to commemorate Dadasaheb Phalke’s contribution to the Indian cinema. He shot India’s first ever full-length feature film "Raja Harishchandra", and went on to create history in his career spanning 19 years, rightfully earning the title, ‘Father of Indian cinema’.
The DPIFF Awards has been acknowledged by our Hon. Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, President of India Mr. Ramnath Kovind and Maharashtra Chief Minister Mr. Devendra Fadnavis. Hon. Prime Minister has specifically appreciated the CSR Activity done by DPIFF named “DPIFF Go Green Initiative” in which every awardee is honoured with a Mini Tree Plant.
