The OC RV & Van Lifestyle Show is an annual exhibition held at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center in Ocean City, Maryland. Organized by Beach Chicken Productions, it features recreational vehicles (RVs), vans, boats, and related outdoor equipment, alongside public activities. First held in 2023, the event emerged following Maryland legislative changes that expanded RV show opportunities in the state.

History

[edit]

The OC RV & Van Lifestyle Show[1] began on October 12–15, 2023, marking Ocean City's entry into Maryland's RV exhibition scene. Its creation was spurred by 2024 Maryland laws SB-60 and HB-840,[2] which raised the annual show limit for Maryland RV dealers from two to three, reversing prior restrictions under state code. This enabled dealers to participate in a new Ocean City event, previously unfeasible due to scheduling limits. The show's scope grew to include boats and outdoor gear, reflecting recreation trends. Scheduled for October 30 – November 2, 2025, its third iteration followed a May 2024 veto[3] by Governor Wes Moore of broader out-of-state dealer provisions. A subsequent 2025 amendment,[4] awaiting vote, allows out-of-state RV dealers to exhibit in Worcester County only, expanding the event's scale.
