Jim Schleckser is an American business executive, author, and the founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of The CEO Project, a peer advisory organization that works with CEOs of high-growth companies. He is recognized for his expertise in business strategy, organizational growth, and leadership performance.[1]
Early life and education
[edit]Schleckser was born in New Jersey, United States. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware, an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the University of Connecticut, and a Doctorate in Business Administration from the University of Maryland.
He also holds certifications as a Certified Sommelier from the Court of Master Sommeliers and as a Certified Director from the National Association of Corporate Directors.[2]
Career
[edit]With over 30 years of experience in business leadership, Schleckser has managed both public and private companies across a variety of industries. He has led organizations through growth phases, acquisitions, and global operations, including his most recent company valued at $1.6 billion.[3]
As the founder of The CEO Project, he leads a peer advisory group of more than 125 CEOs, representing businesses with a combined annual revenue of approximately $50 billion and a workforce of around 400,000.[4]
Members typically remain for over seven years and reportedly achieve two to three times the financial performance of their industry peers.
Throughout his career, Schleckser has been involved in more than 30 business acquisitions or sales and has conducted business in over 60 countries.
