Ben Hughes is a Welsh professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Cambridge United.
Club career
[edit]Hughes spent his early career with local clubs Mumbles Albion, Pontardawe Town and Plough.[1] He joined Chippenham Town in 2020, before signing for Swansea City in 2021, where he turned professional.[1][2] He moved on loan to Caernarfon Town in January 2025.[3][4][5]
He signed for Cambridge United in June 2025.[6]
International career
[edit]Hughes has represented Wales at under-18 and under-21 youth levels, and played futsal at under-19 level.[1]
