regarding Somalia and your response
[edit]Hello again! sorry for the late reply, ive been both busy and then the literal hour i was going to reply to you yesterday Virgin Media went down in my region so my wifi was shoot. I would love your assistance in the article's talk page, as would everyone who is genuinely passionate about Somali regions and Judaism, i still ultimately respect the amount of effort the article had to go through in order to be made, (i certainly wouldnt have thought of getting archaeology publications for it), some personal grievencies aside. again all that matters to me is that you, the article and its sources are given a fair shake and that im not being unfair to any of them, and if i came off as extremely bitter in any of your talk page at anytime or with the article (which i probably was), im sorry. thanks for replying! - Hi, no worries—you didn’t come off as bitter at all, if that’s what you were worried about. I just archived some of my talk page recently because it was getting a bit bloated. Genuine, good-faith criticism is always welcome.
- As I mentioned before, if I find the time, I’d be more than happy to contribute to fixing the article’s many issues. Feel free to tag me in any discussion, and I’ll make sure to respond.
- Thanks again! Elina9k (talk) 09:49, 27 April 2025 (UTC)
Sandbox collaboration and Kudos
[edit]Hi Elina9k.
First of all well done on your Report on Roads and Canals article. This is clearly a neglected subject that spotlights one of America's founding Fathers and clearly you are knowledge and put a significant effort into it. Bravo my good woman.
I am curious as to what other articles you are working on and have worked on, and what is your inspiration and motivation for being a Wikipedian. What subjects do you work on? Obviously some degree of American history, but also some degree of British history too it seems.
As for your sandbox. I am delighted to add some contributions. You definitely want to add Andrew Jackson, Jean Lafitte, Robert Ross, Tecumseh, Winfield Scott, William Henry Harrison, and possibly James Smith (Texas general) to name a few off the top of my head. Happy to add them if you wish. Historyguy1138 (talk) 16:00, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
- Hi! Thanks so much for the kind words. I really appreciate it. Honestly, I just edit whatever I feel I can meaningfully contribute to; there’s no specific focus or grand motivation behind it. If something catches my eye and I want to improve it, I’ll give it a go.
- As for the Report on Roads and Canals, I noticed Gallatin’s plan was referenced in several places but didn’t have its own article, so I figured it deserved one. It’s a small but significant piece of early planning that seemed to slip through the cracks.
- And yes, absolutely. feel free to add those names to the sandbox draft. Just make sure to format it in the same style as the analogous article for the Revolutionary War. Elina9k (talk) 17:50, 6 May 2025 (UTC)

- When it comes to the history of infrastructure and building bridges it may not appear as glamourous as other events in history, but it is none the less important.

- Excellent, I am working on a new article at the moment, but in-between I will add some people here and there till I can give it more attention. Please let me know if I can assist you with anything else now or in the future and keep up the great work. Historyguy1138 (talk) 18:37, 6 May 2025 (UTC)
- Actually on another matter, how did you create an Archive for yourself. I want to get rid of some of my older ones, but keep others. Historyguy1138 (talk) 18:38, 6 May 2025 (UTC)
- Oooooh Elina9k side note I noticed for the List of wars involving the United States that you and another editor are changing things back and forth. You two might want to discuss it in the talk pages.
- I also noticed that your new template has been added back, but moved down.
- But they have all been added to the other lists in the series:
- List of colonial American wars
- List of wars involving the United States from the 18th and 19th centuries
- List of wars involving the United States from the 20th century
- List of wars involving the United States from the 21st century
- Great work. (: Historyguy1138 (talk) 18:51, 6 May 2025 (UTC)
- Hi! Thanks again. I’ll definitely make sure to consult the talk page before making any further major changes. The articles still have a few lingering errors I’ve noticed, so I’ll try to address them carefully and with discussion where needed.
- As for archiving a talk page, you can check out WP:Archiving a Talk Page, it covers the basics pretty well. That said, I’ll admit it took me a few tries to get it right! Don’t be discouraged if it’s finicky at first. Once you get the hang of it, it becomes second nature.
- And thank you so much for the barnstar! Elina9k (talk) 13:04, 7 May 2025 (UTC)

- Thanks for the tip. Yes it's rather frustrating.
- "And thank you so much for the barnstar!"
- You earned both of them. (: Historyguy1138 (talk) 13:12, 7 May 2025 (UTC)
