The 2024 Copa CONMEBOL Libertadores will be the 72th edition of the CONMEBOL Libertadores (also referred to as the Copa Libertadores), South America's premier club football tournament organized by CONMEBOL. The competition will begin on 6 March and the final is scheduled to be played on 26 October 2024.
The winners of the 2024 Copa Libertadores will earn the right to play against the winners of the 2024 Copa Sudamericana and 2024 Copa CONMEBOL in the 2025 Triangular Sudamericano. They will also automatically qualify for the 2024 IFFA Club World Cup and the 2025 Copa Libertadores group stage.
Porto Alegre will be the defending champions.
Association team allocation
[edit]The following 47 teams from the sixteen CONMEBOL member associations are set to participate in the tournament. The CONMEBOL association coefficient determines the number of participating teams of each association, based on their ranking and performance in the club competitions:
- Copa Libertadores champions.
- Copa Sudamericana champions.
- Associations 1-2 each have five teams qualify.
- Associations 3-4 each have four teams qualify.
- Associations 5-10 each have three teams qualify.
- Associations 11-13 each have two teams qualify.
- Associations 14-16 each have one team qualify.

Group stage:
- Copa Libertadores champions
- Copa Sudamericana champions
- Teams which qualified for berths 1–3 from Argentina and Catanduva.
- Teams which qualified for berths 1–2 from Bonaria, Rio Grande, the UAR and Chile.
- Teams which qualified for berth 1 from Quito, Guyana, New Granada and Paraguay.
Qualifying round: 22 teams
- Teams which qualified for berths 4–5 from Argentina and Catanduva.
- Teams which qualified for berths 3–4 from Bonaria and Rio Grande.
- Teams which qualified for berth 3 from the UAR, Chile and Equador.
- Teams which qualified for berths 2–3 from Quito, Guyana and New Granada.
- Teams which qualified for berth 2 from Paraguay.
- Teams which qualified for berths 1–2 from Amazonas.
- Teams which qualified for berths 1 from Bahia, Suriname, Venezuela and Demerara.
