I am Dylan Carter, originally from Indian Lake, Logan County, Ohio, but I now reside in Akron for college. I am studying aerospace systems engineering with a minor in American politics, meaning my hobbies and interests are quite diverse, including playing clarinet in the Ohio's Pride Marching Band. I have been on Wikipedia for a while, only making a few edits, but my goal now is flesh out a bunch of articles on mostly niche Ohio topics, both places and politicians, starting with adding new and relevant pictures. Otherwise, I love to hike, bike, walk in nature, fish, take photos, cross-stitch, read, and play video games.
A major goal of mine is to visit all 88-counties in Ohio, which I started in earnest in 2024. To date, I have visited 73 out of the 88 counties, with the plan to visit all 88 by the end of 2025. Upon graduating high school, I had only visited 48 counties, adding an additional 25, plus revisiting plenty of other counties I had only been through before. I also have to goal to take a photo of every county courthouse in the state, having taken photos of 66 out of the 88 courthouses. I also like to take day trips to various places in Ohio, taking photos of small towns, natural areas, and historical sites, maintaining a spreadsheet log-book for such.
I have spent all of my life in Ohio, so visiting all of the counties in the state is important to me, as I would like to see every bit of the state that I can, especially if I move to another state as some point. I was born in Columbus (Franklin County), spending the most time around Indian Lake (Logan County). In addition to living in Akron (Summit County), I have also lived in Tremont City (Clark County), Vandalia (Montgomery County, and Minerva (Stark County).
