Bily Paredes[1] (birth name: Víctor Luis Paredes Marshall; born September 8, 1974, in Caracas, Venezuela) is a Venezuelan journalist, media producer, and television host. He has developed his career in media in both Venezuela and the United States, specializing in audiovisual production and the hosting of entertainment and news programs.

Early life and education

Paredes was born in Caracas, Venezuela, on September 8, 1974. He is the son of Víctor Paredes Medina, a doctor and journalist who hosted the television program En Confianza on Venezolana de Televisión in 1984, and Jean Marshall, a former criminal court judge in Caracas.

He studied Social Communication at the Central University of Venezuela, graduating in 2002.

Career

Paredes [2]has worked across radio, television, and digital platforms. His most notable projects include:

  • Los Exitosos (Miami, since 2021)
  • En las Buenas y En las Malas (Miami, since 2021)
  • Que Locura Miami (2020)
  • Happy Week (2020–2021)
  • Llegando a Tierra (2019–2020)
  • David Comedia TV [3](2019)

He has also produced:

  • El Podcast de Las Payasitas Nifu Nifa[4]
  • El Show de Charly Mata

In the early 2000s, he served as director and editor of the alternative media outlet Caracas On the Rocks (2000–2005) and as executive producer of the TV program TV On the Rocks (2002–2005). He has also been involved in organizing commercial events in Caracas.

Paredes has served as a jury member in various cultural and artistic competitions.

Journalism

Paredes covered several political and social events in Venezuela, including the 2017 anti-government protests against Nicolás Maduro. He has also hosted the program Los Exitosos[5][6][7] [8]in Miami[9][10], which aired on EVTV[11], Caraota Digital[12], and the streaming platform Two Miami.
