League Cup

As a Premier League side not participating in European competitions, QPR entered the League Cup in the second round, and were drawn away to Championship side Blackburn Rovers. In the third round, they were drawn away to Premier League club Sunderland. They were drawn at home to Premier League side West Ham United in the fourth round, and at home to Premier League club West Bromwich Albion in the quarter-finals. In the semi-finals, QPR were drawn against Premier League side Arsenal, first leg away then second leg at home.
