IronWrath
[edit]IronWrath[1] is a cinematic metal band based in Fontana, California. Known for blending music, storytelling, and film into immersive theatrical production, the band has been described as a "modern-day Pink Floyd[2]" and a "patriotic Trans-Siberian Orchestra." Their theatrical concerts are considered though-provoking, exploring themes of freedom, faith, and family through hard-hitting compositions and award-winning[3] visuals.
History
[edit]The origins of IronWrath trace back to the early 1980s with the formation of the band Free Will by guitarist Sean Silas, alongside John and Jerry Boudreau. In 1985, Free Will merged with vocalist Keith Miles to form the Christian metal band Holy Right, which became a fixture in the Southern California music scene. In 1986, drummer and percussionist C.G. Ryche[4] joined the group, and the band released their debut album Stand as One[5] on Erica Records[6].
In 1988, Ryche, Silas, and rhythm guitarist/vocalist Steve Bell left Holy Right to form IronWrath, shifting toward a more progressive and cinematic metal sound. The band disbanded in 1990 but officially reformed in early 2021.
Artistic Vision
[edit]IronWrath is distinguished by its unique integration of cinematic storytelling with live music. The band's theatrical production, IronWrath’s Master Storyteller[7], is a “Vegas-style show experience” combining original film content, theatrical performances, and progressive anthems.
Central to IronWrath's identity is its commitment to exploring meaningful themes that reflect societal challenges and personal transformation. Their performances are designed to provoke thought and dialogue, making their concerts both entertainment and reflective experience.
