James Carnegie Keir (27 February 1893 - 1977) was a Scottish painter.[1]
Life
[edit]His father was James Carnegie Keir [Snr] (25 April 1862 - 1934), a grocer and wine merchant from Careston in Angus.[2]
His mother was Cecilia Russell Cook (5 August 1860 - 17 April 1916), from Monifeith in Angus.[3]
James Carnegie Keir was born on 27 February 1893 in Partick, Glasgow.[4][5]
He married the artist Elizabeth Elder McSkimming in New Kilpatrick in 1922.
