William James Yule (10 October 1867 - 8 February 1900) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]His father was Charles Yule (14 August 1833 - 26 September 1935), a harbour master from Montrose.[3] He moved to Dundee where he became harbour master there.
His mother was Helen Jones (16 September 1848 - 27 March 1929) from Tranent in East Lothian. Charles and Helen married on 15 November 1866 in Prestonpans, East Lothian.
William James Yule was born on 10 October 1867 in Prestonpans.[4]
Art

[edit]He died on 8 February 1900 at Nordrach on Mendip, a TB sanatorium in Priddy, Somerset, England.[6][7]
