Bessie Innes Young (3 June 1855 - 10 May 1936) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]
Life
[edit]Her father was Robert Young (6 April 1812 - 29 May 1892), a coal and iron master from Shettleston, Glasgow.
Her mother was Margaret Hendrie (born 28 April 1822) from St. Quivox in Ayrshire. Robert and Margaret married on 30 May 1841 in St. Quivox.
Bessie Innes Young was born on 3 June 1855 in Glasgow.[3]

[edit]She died on 10 May 1936 in Glasgow. The value of her estate was given as £5766, 17 shillings and 1 penny.[4]
